yes i agree, like i mention side wall has no relation with load index. load index is more like the tested force and speed before the rubber will give way. as the amount of metal and reinforcement done is different for each index. as for side wall for softer side wall u will feel more comfy and cushy vs harder sidewall more stiff and hard over the same kind of road feel. as one the impact is cushion off and another directly impacting back. but when cornering the difference is opp way. softer wall give u the wobbly feel and the harder give u the very stable feel. that because your PSI inflation and alignment are out. u need to adjust around to find a right spot. manufactures recommendation are guideline not a strictly follow item. just like the Fuel consumption rating. what the manufactures did test with was constant driving at 60-80km/h with 1 drive and 1/4 of fuel for some distance. this isn't real life. same like 0-100 timing. the difference between the two ain't that much unless u track. there was a video test somewhere in previous post comparing the two models.

Skoda Kodiaq - Will it reach our shores?

lapsing between service dont ring immediate danger. its more as a form of preventive maintenance to keep the engine health from the friction, due to heat break down in chemical the oil become less protective so it less protective and causes wear from the rubbing action of the movement. its matter of luck to lapse the servicing. still can drive even u exceed the used mileage or years but in SG 10yrs cycle dont make us see the $ saving damage. even for those who exceed the 10yrs cycle normally will push it to wear and tear :)

diesel got its pro and con. Con The particle filter is a big issue! If u don't drive long enough to heat up the filer it cannot clear off the carbon particle trapped and will cause CEL. As for spark plug vs no spark plug, its because of diesel compression for Air to fuel ratio. the compression itself cause the fuel to detonate by itself, and its not diesel don't use plug but they use glow plug instead but normally for cold start. And for diesel running till dry is a big issue unlike petrol you just need to top up and good to go. diesel u need to bleed and pump the diesel up which not many know how to do it. Pro High amount of torque avaliable at low rev. with TC now it more powerful and faster as compared. Good FC. As the High compression mean it's more efficient in burning the fuel. and because of the torque lesser fuel is require to move the same load. that why diesel are normally use for towing stuff.

Same index but the construction of the sidewall is different also play a part. Load index is more like a guideline of the max weight its able to hold and the max speed legally. not how hard the side wall is. that why you mention softer sidewall too. as compare to PSS even same index..

Not much of a diff in MIT or MIE. Tried both same same. Maybe wear the MIT last longer. Side wall PS4 is softer. Need to pump higher PSI to maintain back what PS3 gave me.

cos more demand. odd size tires always more exp. or odd size even got demand but mostly for higher CC or sport car also will be more exp.

I tried asking few bigger shops for PS4s for 18" but all say dont have size. only 19" above maybe not in yet. and PI dont mean cheap also. my MIT PS4 is cheaper then PS4 EU. daily drive u will notice the noise intruding into the cabin. is more like a feel. just like everyday u drive u will sure feel the car if its in condition.

PS4 softer as compare to PS3. noise wise almost the same. UHP tires are not known for quiet. same for both EU or Thai made PS4. tried both.

  19. dont forget each time u earn payoff some sum there is admin fee. unless the fee can offset by the interests saving else for what? use that money for other investment better still. and first 20k or 30k is 3.5% if not wrong. still higher then what u paying 2.6%.

Skoda Kodiaq - Will it reach our shores?

nice! just wonder whats the actual FC like. i have seen those from TW and Australia getting around 10-13km/L. the Australia models are getting 19" and 20" for their sportlines as compared. SkodaSG should start reducing the price for more competitive sales. This few models they having now are way better then the VW siblings.

still waiting for the actual pricing and test drive. if 120~130K will be a good range to fly off the shelf.

guess everyone will hope for 20K drop. if really happen i believe it will be best selling SUV by then. cheap and good. specs wise they already win other by a head. the closest competitor is kia sorento almost same specs by cheaper by 10K
