    Swapping Numberplate in Msia

    What is this dude doing ? Never knew that BMW have a key hole at the rear to open the boot ! https://www.dsf.my/2019/05/sg-bmw-owner-caught-swapping-number-plates-in-malaysia/?fbclid=IwAR0sYldGaBiU5j25PDiWOGWXfE5T89DXV5GV9mY1ZIm4-mjV7TXDPVVVHuw <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Faurizn%2Fposts%2F10156153102416080&width=500" width="500" height="394" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allow="encrypted-media"></iframe>

    Volkswagen Passat 1.8

Kind of late as everybody else is on the B8 Passat for several years already and with some folks even waiting for the new B9 Passat to be released end 2019. There are already many pictures and videos about the new B9. Here is one from Europe... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t31Rdbbzvx8 The B7 Passat is a solid edition. I had one (2014 release) for some 4 years before letting her go this year. You may want to look at my write up on my B7 Passat here at this LINK. Owning a car in Singapore is a pain. Buying at high prices and selling it at scrap. The dealer usually are the ones laughing all the way to the bank.

    BMW Desperate Owner

So bad of this BMW owner to behave like that in Malaysia. Give Singaporeans a bad name. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1441500059203528&id=1042446452442226

    Feedback about Golf Mk 7

Depends on your budget. If shoe string then should go for China lookalike type which is about $1200. If want to go for the real thing....it is very complicated require a change in the BCM, level sensors, harness, gateway, coding etc. Cost about $4500. I am about to upgrade mine. Check out my blog at Google : CBX, Golf 7

I drove my 2010 B6 for 5 years.....some 60K km.....no problems. Sold it to and the new owner have it for a year plus. He kept in touch. No reports on the dsg except other small electronics wear and tear. I guess it is okay

Probably the best executive mid size sedan for the price you pay. The 7 speed could be a problem but it would depend on your luck. I owned the B6 for 5 years...not issues. Driving my B7 for a year now. So far so good. Really comfy... http://jimmy-cbx.blogspot.sg/p/passat-everything.html

Opel Car Owners - Pls fall in

Sales Executive are the least of worries . Aftersales is the real problem. Parts and service support determines the health of the car for the 10 years on the road.

Any Optra owner here interested in a spare fuel pumps assembly?

Because despite the risk...nothing drives like a VW given the cost of the car and the modibility ! Better get a specialist to test the car properly. May not be a DSG problem. Sudden jering could be related to fuel supply or electrical issue. A DSG issue once there.....will stay there until repaired
  11. Yes...the new MU since early last year. I think VW have the best automated manual transmission in the world for the price we pay. You should try driving the Ford or Opel auto manual MTA.
  12. Have Bros drive for years without any issues. Best if don't mod end or transmission. Those with issues got them fixed after the new DSG controller replaced with new edition clutch.

You are correct. On the Exclusive model 2.0 the DCC is standard. Checked the showroom Rline model...the DCC is controlled via a MODE switch at the left side of the DSG shifter. On the 1.8 it is not even an option

DCC confirm don't have on the new B8 Passat Exclusive model. Only the CC comes with it standard. Currently it is not possible to retrofit the DCC on the B8 as well. The only B7 in Spore and Malaysia with the DCC installed is here

Ooi.....you happen to be a VW salesman ? The seats I saw in the showroom for the $164K model have lap support and seem better and plusher than the base model. Wheels I am not sure.....I thought I saw 18" rims.....maybe just for the showroom display. Oh...yes, the cluster ! I think the base model is plain B/W and the Highline model is colour ? Anyway, if I were to get the new Passat B8, I would never buy it new ! Better wait for a year or two ! New models always have teething problems. Wait for others to ride out the storm.... Would also prefer the 2litre model with the 6speed DSG and the new interactive colour cluster ! Looks really nice !
