A5 sportback vs Stinger vs XE

Test drive is definitely needed now and thanks for all the input guys, much appreciated. By the way, saw the comment about audi list price is inflated in SGcarmart and that's for existing car trade in, but I am coming from leasing and I am not trading in any car, does it mean I have to take the price literally from the website?

Wah thanks everyone, I am overwhelmed by the advice / info, really appreciate it. To add a bit more context: - I am paying it myself and I have a budget of around 150k - based on the range of 50k downpayment and around 1.2-1.5k mthly instalment? - It's absolutely right that what I have in my mind has always been the first 3, I added 4th candidly (kinda regretted now) and didn't expect the response to be so wife-accommodating My wife would nag but I think all she ever need is a reliable car for me to get her from point A to B/C/D/E/F. She doesn't even have a license so this car "might" be her practice car when she decided to take on the test (if it ever happen).. - I never really own a car that sells on performance or "the drive". Wish and Mazda 6 were my ride ever since I have kids 6 years ago, and before that a Mini (none S) - Hence, hopefully not sounding too noob / ignorant, I really wish to experience a good HP car. Is a used Audi really that alarming? I like the A5 look and I read we can do the stage 1 mod and the performance can go up to almost 2.0 Stinger?

Confirm will haha...Cos I am pretty much a sedan guy, still couldn't appreciate the SUV drive...

Thanks for the enlightenment, it make sense on Harrier's used price... Stinger 3.3 is hard to reach from my budget perspective, and 2.0 has most of the same function as well. And coming from Mazda 6 I think I might spin out 3.3 alot? haha...

Seems like a landslide V for Harrier What I find comforting is that used Harrier has almost same depre (less than 1k diff) as the new one, does it mean the car is in great demand?

Sorry should have elaborate a bit more on the Harrier Turbo, I test drove it when it first came out and feel its really underpower and I really prefer a sedan car hence would prioritize the first three on the list. Unless all 3 of them CMI then I will surrender to SUV. No preference on rear seat space I think only my kid and small size helper will be at the back most of the time (if go full outing: 3 adults and 2 kids).

A5 sportback vs Stinger vs XE

Hello everyone, been out of the car buying scene for very long as I have been leasing car for the past 4 years. With my lease coming to an end, thinking of getting a used car and after some research, fell in love with the look of the following models: - used A5 SB - 2017 version with virtual cockpit (around 14k depre?), love the facelifted look, and still have 2-3 years of warranty with dealer for peace of mind - stinger (new is about the same as a used A5) - would love to try a RWD car and it has the highest HP among all (looking at used if its around 12k-13k depre), love the look but wife hates the name (lame reason but it plays a part unfortunately) - used XE - look elegant, RWD drive as well and seems good review. - Harrier turbo - wife prefer SUV and she think Harrier is really good value and reliable Toyota. Any recommendation / watch out? Thanks very much in advance 🙂
  8. Hi guys, as topic, also wanted to find out does it take roughly 1 month for me to get the new car if there are stock? As my lease is coming to an end in 1 month plus time so wanted to time it to be as little downtime as possible. Currently looking at the elegance version and does anyone know if it can be upgraded to G's kit? Thanks in advance guys!

    Petrol switching

For FC, I can safely rely on the car CPU display right? Or is there any other way you guys check on the car FC? And for power, I can just take note of any difference in car acceleration and smoothness in gear changes right?

    Petrol switching

Not sure if this has been ask before. Is it ok to switch between petrol brand constantly? Anything that I should take note of (eg pump the new brand only when the tank is near empty etc)? Still trying to see if there is any significant difference between the few brands available to us. Also is it advisable to stick to a certain grade of petrol constantly? Is it okay to mix pumping different grade without any problem as long it fell within the car drinkable range? The car manual only states that it can drink 91-98 RON and sales person recommended anything above 93 RON. With the mixture of results I am also trying out different grade. But well, I don't expect that I could actually feel any differences cos I am really new to driving but my curiosity beats me to that. Thanks in advance for any advice :)

    Revving on new car

Just got my Cooper (normal version) yesterday. I remember the person told me something about don't rev too hard for the few ??? k, but I just can't remember the exact number. Maybe I should call him back and check it out. Also a side question, which petrol should I go for? The manual says 91-98 and I am being recommended of 95. By the way all 3 petrol brands (shell, SPC, esso, is there any more?) are equivalent right? Or any of it are actually better? Thanks in advance for the advice :)

    Revving on new car

Hi guys just a quick question. Is it not recommended to rev hard on new car as the parts are still new? What is a comfortable rpm level to keep and until what mileage? I heard try not to go above 2.5K (or was it 4.5k) for the first 200km. Thanks!
  15. How do we calculate the 20.5k to get back when Coe expired? Is it a portion of the OMV? So if we can get back 20.5k in 2014 dec when we scrap the car does it means technically we are spending 30k for that3 years = 10k a year and ard 800 a month (ignoring the interest paid if we were to take loan). Is that correct? When we scrap a car, does it matter if it was a second car, first hand car, third hand car or others?
