    Wounds

Should we use anti septic on wounds? I had a fall last Friday and got abrasions on various places on my body, mainly on my left side. I had two big area of skin abrasion on my left shoulder and leg. Also my face which required stitching to minimize scarring. So I was about to change my dressing on my shoulder and leg, and wonder if I should apply antiseptic. Apparently there are different school of thought if the wound is clean . Found an interesting article that look into this controversy https://www.woundsresearch.com/article/1585 .
  2. I just did machine polishing this morning and found 2 spots with swirl marks. Its was like the paint melted and curd there after. Causing some unsightly marks. I do not wanna doubt the company involved but could it be the machine's doing?
  3. I have started training hard for the marathon end of year but realised that everytime I run more than 5km, I will have abrasion in upper thighs close to the groin area. I remember in army days people told me wearing bicycle tights will help to reduce this but I have yet to try. Any other suggestions (like medicine applications, etc)? Hope experienced marathon runners here can offer tips so I dun have to walk like a crab after each run, thanks.
