I just had my car's cambelt replaced. Then it struck me, does cambelt and timing belt means the same thing? When I open up the bonnet, I can see a belt there, it's the same old belt leh! Where got replace? Is cambelt visible just by opening the bonnet?

Came across a car maintenance diasaster picture this morning. Read about how a mechanic had overlooked a loose bolt while replacing a fella's cambelt. The result is seen here...after close to a week's driving. So where possible, make sure you monitor your mechanic's moves at the bonnet and never take anyone's skills for granted.
