For all the bro's and sis's here using the milestone. Froyo has been released. It is not an OTA update yet (I suspect motorola's servers won't be able to handle the stress). Strangely enough if you follow the link to Froyo for Singapore from http://www.motorola.com/Support/XP-EN/Cons...e_Default_XP_EN, it doesn't work. However I found you can access it from http://direct.motorola.com/ENA/SoftwareUpd...ne_FROYO_EN.pdf My phone is currently being updated as I type this. Please note this from its release notes: Key Things to Consider Prior to Upgrading to Android 2.2 (Froyo) Motorola is committed to continually meet and exceed our consumers expectations. Due to the extremely high number of requests for the Android 2.2. (FROYO) software upgrade, we are making the upgrade package available to consumers who wish to voluntarily upgrade their own devices via MSU. Exhaustive testing process has concluded that users may experience some adverse effects associated with the upgrade which could include slower operation of some phone functions and applications. Performance may be improved by limiting open applications. Media saved on your memory SD card will be preserved, but DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected Media stored on your phone's internal memory will not be preserved. Not all applications downloaded with your current software will be compatible with your upgraded software. P.S. Don't ask me why MCF has converted my cut and pasted links into something that looks this strange, however clicking it works An image just to highlight the update

Samsung Galaxy S getting Android 2.2 Froyo update now Posted by Affan on October 15, 2010 Samsung has started rolling out Android 2.2 Froyo update for Samsung Galaxy S worldwide. Some of Galaxy S users in Norway, Denmark and Sweden reported that they have already received the update. Previously Samsung announced that it will be available from mid of October, hitting first European users, followed by Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, North America, Africa and rest of the world. All you have to do is wait for it, as Samsung has sold more than 5 million of these devices, so it will take a little time. The Samsung Galaxy S already got hotspot capabilities and 720p video recording, so the key enhancements that it will bring to the device will be improved performance levels on Galaxy S, JIT (Just in Time) compiler and Adobe Flash Player 10.1. The other enhancements include Google Maps with Navigation meaning GPS navigation system with voice guidance, New Android Market with auto-updating, Pinch-to-zoom home screen flyover, improved default keyboard, Video records in MP4 format, New Search widget, Gmail application and Colored icons in settings. The Android 2.2 update is available via Kies (link below), which is Samsung
