  1. An eight-car collision on the Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Sunday night injured five people, including one child. The accident occurred at about 9.20pm, said a spokesman for the Singapore Civil Defence Force. It took place along the SLE heading north, just after the Braddell Road exit. The extreme right two lanes were cordoned off by police, creating a massive jam leading back to the city centre that persisted past midnight. Four adults were taken by ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and one child was taken to KK Women's and Children's Hospital. All were conscious. It was not immediately clear how serious their injuries were. When The Straits Times arrived at the scene at 11.30pm, several cars including one taxi were seen with their bonnets and rears crumpled. They were towed away shortly after.
