  1. Need some help here. I'm on SH maxonline and is using Motorola SBV5121i voice modem and Linksys WRT54G router. All was working fine until last evening when my internet connection became very very very slow. Then there after, i couldn't access the internet on my iphone (WIFI) and laptop. I checked the LEDs on the modem and all the required LEDs are lit. I'm not an expert but I would expect the DS and DR LEDs to blink when i'm surfing web right? When I tried to a webpage, the DS and DR LEDs were lit but not blinking. However, the LINK LED is blinking. Does that mean the router is working but the modem is spoilt? Or is it the other way round? Any bros can help?

Question is whether I can just get any 3rd party USB modem from the shops or do I need to purchase the USB modem stick at $68? Hope someone can help me pleaseeeeeeeee!
  4. check with you guys since the digital voice modem is to be turn on 24hrs, do they have connection problems for normal web surfing well my modem is connected to a wifi router but it seems that sometimes i cannot get wifi signal for my handphone to solve that i got to off and on back the main switch of the modem but lately sometimes my laptop direct connection via router cannot even access to the internet when i unplug the lan cable from the router and hook directly to the modem, sometimes can work sometimes cannot to solve, need to power off and on the main switch so the question is, is the modem or router faulty or both i got the modem for 3 mths but my g-router about 3 years thks
  5. need advice. as part of starhub deal, was given a 1Mbps SIM card. now thought of getting a USB modem. went to a local website, and saw so many different types of huawei modem. for my above 1Mbps purpose, any advice on which model is appropriate, and price for a pre-owned one? thanks.
  6. Just got a new modem after upgrading my broadband plan with singhtell. The new modem requires a power supply so if I switch it off it will screw up and take many tries to connect again. I am scared that the modem will overheat and burn one day so I am considering switching back to the old one which doesn't require a power supply (it switches off with the computer). So will there be any risk of leaving the modem on for a year more without switching it off? Will there be any internet speed decrease if I use back the old modem? Thanks
