  2. Any bros following this series? Have been following it since season 1 and really to these fellows from Red Jacket. They have been converting normal small arms to all sorts of deadly configurations as accordance to customers from average Joes to private security firms. Not sure if they have gotten permission or any permit from their state or federal agencies (should have right?) to do that because they have for example converted semi-auto firing (by law) say AR15s or even Browning 50-cal HMGs to full auto modes. Which means any psycho customers can suka suka train his Browning 50-cal HMG on his neighbours to unleash hell... [sweatdrop] For a strictly gun control state like ours, it is really an eye-opener that their Constitution allow them to own guns And I thought the last time they fired a civil war-era cannon was the biggest calibre weapon they had gotten their hands on until last night when these fellas repaired a WWII-era M1 57mm AT gun and fired it. They even re-furbished the rounds themselves by filling up empty fired shell casings with explosive propellant, installed primers and topped them off with projectiles. Below is a shot of these guys firing the 57mm gun: How about that?
  3. Tony Tan's sons refute online allegations on NS record AsiaOne Thursday, Aug 25, 2011 SINGAPORE - Dr Tony Tan's sons have described allegations concerning their National Service (NS) as "lies", reported The Straits Times. Dr Tan's three sons - Peter, Patrick and Philip - made a joint statement saying, "We fulfilled all obligations in accordance with the rules, regulations, and deployment policies of Mindef (the Ministry of Defence)." They also said: "Like all other Singaporeans, we are proud to have served Singapore during our National Service." SEE ALSO: Tony Tan refutes allegations about special treatment towards son Aged 45, 42 and 35, Dr Tan's sons have been subject to criticism, suggesting that they were given preferential treatment during NS even though they were combat-fit. Dr Tan was defence minister between 1995 and 2003. These claims were also alluded to by speakers at the rallies of Mr Tan Jee Say and Mr Tan Kin Lian on Tuesday and Wednesday night respectively, according to the same report. Last month, Dr Tony Tan described the allegations that he helped his son Patrick avoid NS by arranging for him to do medical research work as "false rumours" and added that he was "deeply disappointed" by the online talk. He said then that all three of his sons had served their NS fully - received an NSman's salary and fulfilled all requirements of NS such as IPPT and in-camp training - and he never intervened in their postings.
  4. Watching 2nd episode now on Discovery Channnel. This guy Will and his merry men modify arms for a living. Not the hands you & me have but the other type that we NS boys shoot in the range & hopefully not in a battlefield...ever. Episode 1 Will's Red Jacket company mated a short-barrel M16 & a shot gun aka M203 style for a SWAT team for door breaching- & it worked! Ended up he sold 8 nos. at 3k a piece to the SWAT folks. Episode 2 he took on a order to put a silencer on a shotgun & also get to fire a Civil War era canon which had not fired in anger since 1865.. Really interesting show...
