  1. KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia has become the first person in the world to privately own the Chinese-made Hongqi L5 vehicle. The luxury sedan was presented to the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong today, witnessed by Chinese ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing. Also present were FAW Hongqi Global president Wang Lingyu, as well as business personalities Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay and Datuk Lim Chee Wah. The car, manufactured by the FAW Group, features a retro design and is used by top Chinese leaders for government and diplomatic events. According to a social media post on Sultan Ibrahim's social media page, the king had granted an audience to the ambassador, where they discussed bilateral relations between Malaysia and China, as well as related issues involving both countries. In the session, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong also gave his views on the direction of diplomatic ties between the two nations and the need to identify more opportunities for cooperation. "China is a major important economic superpower and a big trading partner for Malaysia. "His Majesty hopes Malaysia will harness its unique abilities to benefit from and boost trade, technology exchange as well as expand its exports to China. "His Majesty also hopes that more Chinese companies will invest in Malaysia, thus creating even more job opportunities for the people of this country," read the post. https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2024/04/1037152/sultan-ibrahim-becomes-first-person-world-own-hongqi-l5-luxury-sedan
