  1. Kudos to him for doing the right thing! Stopped an interview when the national anthem was played! compare this to an incident where someone was SMS-ing during the national anthem! that person shd learn from this!
  2. Or maybe legendary haolian? I find him one of the more colourful characters that make Olympics fun to watch. On one hand he can self declare legend, strike that silly pose and even tell his teammate beforehand he will win. But on the other hand he is really fast. That relay match looked like a close call until Bolt ran the final stretch. So what do you think of the currently fastest man on Earth? I also find that USA cannot accept losing. If others win, there must be some cheating involved. Only good thing I can say is they are not "racist" in choosing who to call a cheater. Asian or Black all kena labelled cheater equally from them.
  3. Who wana thanks him beside me??I hope i can thanks him
  4. ESPN Associated Press August 16 2008 We Need This Bolt of Lightning Fresh from rewriting the record books again and capturing his first Olympic medal, running the 100-meter dash in a stunning 9.69 seconds, Jamaican Usain Bolt has captured yet another first - the attention of the eagle-eyed government of Singapore. Hours after Bolt's stunning victory, Mr Teo Chee Hean, Singapore's Minister for Defence and President Singapore National Olympic Council has proclaimed, "We need to capture them when they are young. And at 21-yr old, Usain Bolt is of the right age and potential to be developed for even greater glory." He continues, "It's the same like how we developed our table tennis champions. We see that they have potential to excel in the sports, we negotiate terms with them, offering them promises of better training and quality of life. Look at them now." Banging his fist on the table, he exclaims, "We will get him at all cost, money is not an issue!" Apparently, it does not end there we were told. As a reflection of their long-term vision, Mr Teo has this to say, "Sporting success does not come overnight, it takes months to monitor such players and entice them over, you think that is easy?" He adds, "Our future plans encompasses the importing of even more sportsmen - from distance-runners in Kenya, footballers from Brazil and the African continent, and if the price is right, swimmers from Australia and the USA." The new found optimism stems from the Singapore women's table tennis team breaking the island republic's 48-yr wait for an Olympics medal. The female paddlers, which some Chinese fans mistook and cheered as their own during the Beijing Olympics, is made up of players that were from China. Admist the roar of approval from newly converted fans of the Singapore women's table-tennis team, a supporter has this to say, "Hey, it's perfectly fine, our National football team already has a couple of African players, some angmohs (a local slang for Caucasians), and even two Chinese players, making up half the team!" Another fan shouts, "We don't care! As long as they bring us success, they are a part of us. I don't know why, I found them absolutely repulsive a few months ago, seeing them everywhere, but I love them to bits now!" Comments from the Singapore's women table-tennis team are not available at press-time as they do not speak a word of English.
