Count-Bracula Twincharged June 21, 2012 Share June 21, 2012 My hawker center also has this stall, But I don't really like it. Not sure if it's the branch or totally unrelated. I find bak chang quite jerlat, eat one or two enough already. I prefer kee chang which you dip in sugar. Nowadays very hard to find good ones, Joo Chiat KC is okay lah so so. Opel17 6th Gear June 21, 2012 Share June 21, 2012 Just came back from Sheng Shiong Jalan Bahar. Now selling dumplings under stall outside their cashiers line, take in and Q at cashier. Nonya, pork dumplings @S$1.20. Other types incl salted egg yolk iirc @S$2. I bought 10 for nonya and pork, plus 1 each nonya and pork [direct from their steamer] for supper tonight. Last year, I bought only 5 + 5. For cheapo like me, I find good value --> u chnee, u pnee, u koon lor pnee, u tua liap You can even buy only 1pc direct from their steamer, try on the spot before deciding whether to buy more. Nonya, pork dumplings @S$1.20. ---> this year prices increase. @S$1.50/pc or S$7.00 for 5pcs This yr, bought 10Nonya + 20Pork and finished all within 1st week of Jun. Celebrated dumpling festival in advance. Those who are not so fussy, can try the Sheng Siong dumplings.

Opel17 6th Gear June 21, 2012 Share June 21, 2012 Thanks for info, bro! Do they sell the tau sa type? I liked both the nonya and tau sa rice dumplings....... Sheng Siong [i went to Jln Bahar branch] offer various types, eg with abalone / salted egg / etc..... Can't remember the prices. There is a price list at the booth, and Teresa Teng "sio bak chang" song was playing continuously. All branches should be the same. ↡ Advertisement
