Crazecow Neutral Newbie December 14, 2010 Share December 14, 2010 Just remember to wear gloves and avoid touching the engine oil (even new ones) with your bare hands. This is because used engine oil known to be carcinogenic. New ones I don't know but best to avoid as well. Our skin can absorb the oil and we wouldn't know whats going to happen to us with prolong skin exposure to used oil. Lastly, pls dispose used oil properly...... ↡ Advertisement
Yeobh 4th Gear December 14, 2010 Share December 14, 2010 (edited) Tell that to the mech and most will think that you are sissy - with this type of mindset many may end up retire with damage hands & skin problems. I have come across battery man hands bad burn by battery sulphric acid spills. So when you remove car battery make sure yr precious "TOOLS" are well protected. Prevention is better than cure. Crazecow Neutral Newbie December 14, 2010 Author Share December 14, 2010 bros, Ot a bit, i have european formula engine oil, weight is still the same at 40 and was thinking if it fits local use Yes, not problem for local use. The purpose of European formula is to meet the specifications ACEA and mainly the car manufacturer's specs. Its perfectly alright for other cars and local use. IF you wonder why not every oil is certified for european cars, most of the time, its the $$$ involved. Get certifications from various manufacturers requires money. Unless the oil company has a market in Europe or popular with European cars, they may not want to spend the $$$ just to get it certified.
