Another year, another racing Aston Martin. This time around it has previewed their revised for 2011 Vantage GT4 that will compete in various GT races around the world. The Vantage GT4 variants have to date competed in the FIA GT4 class races like the 24hour endurance races at the Nurburgring, Dubai and at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. You may have read Chee Jun's posting on the countdown timer that is used at some of the traffic light junctions in Malaysia. I have to say that it is indeed very useful in assisting motorists in deciding whether they should speed up, slow down or come to a stop at a junction. Of course, there are arguments on whether the system actually helps motorists in general as some say that it does not make any difference and some say that it makes things worse.
What ever the case, designer Thanva Tiv
There recently was news regarding a collaboration between horsepower brokers Hamann Motorsport and suspension tuner extraordinaire H&R. Between them they have basically created the ultimate Fiat 500; the 275bhp, 380Nm H&R Hamann Fiat 500 Abarth Essesse. This is basically the ultimate bubble sports car as it should have the handling to match the power supplied to it.
We start with Harmann's contribution to the package first. In order to achieve the desired 275bhp, Harmann has basicall
Saab Automobile plans to reduce its workforce by 200 employees or about one-eighth of its current staff, according to report from Reuters citing a union official.
Hakan Skott, a union representative at Saab, told the news site that the move was expected after the company's new owner, Dutch supercar maker Spyker, cut the firm's sales target from 60,000 units in February, to 45,000 a few months later and finally to just 30,000 cars at end of October. "I'm not exactly surprised. We reduced our

This little bit of news is for those of you who are curious on how fast the Audi R8 GT really is. Sport Auto magazine, a German publication did their acclaimed 'Supertest' on the R8 GT which usually includes a VERY hot lap around the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The laps round the Nurburgring are conducted by their absolutely famous test driver/chief editor, Horst Von Saurma (who turned 56 last August) is considered as benchmark times for the respective vehicles tested.
Released in May 2010 th
The Audi RS3 Sportback has been unveiled. Ever since the inception of the current Audi S3 I've always been hoping that Audi would launch an RS version of that car and that moment has happened. Although I somehow feel that this would be like the shortlived B7 RS4, a fabulous sports saloon that only arrived when the B7 was in its final two (or so) years of production.
Based on a modified VW Golf GTI platform (not the current one as the A3 was launched waaayyyyyy back in 2003), the 1,575kg RS3
Lamborghini recently issued a press release for another of its lightweight, higher performance variant of the Gallardo Spyder. This new Gallardo convertible model is named the Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante. This basically means that this would be the fastest drop-top Gallardo you could possibly buy from Lamborghini.
In line with Lamborghini's drive for ultimate 'lightness' in all of their cars, this Spyder Performante gets all of the lightweight stuff the Gallardo Superleggera has and

BMW has decided to preview the new 2012MY 6-series cabriolet ahead of its coupe version at the upcoming Detriot Motor Show and we have a whole lot of photos from their press release. This is usually quite different from the norm where the coupe gets launched first, then they iron out the technical details needed to transform a coupe into a convertible/cabriolet before launching a roofless version of the same car. Whatever the reason BMW is doing the opposite isn
We can finally say goodbye to bland Subaru sedans. Subaru appears to be getting on the stylish compact sedan bandwagon with its sleek, new LA Show-bound Impreza concept. Spearheading the brand's "Confidence in Motion" design language, the low and wide concept wears a more stylish interpretation of the Legacy's nose while losing the awkward lines found on previous Imprezas.
Aerodynamics are emphasized by a flowing roof line, rear diffuser and air splitters, while the squat stance is intended
On the eve of the LA Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the 2012 CLS63 AMG, the bi-turbo V8 version of the second generation original four door coupe.
AMG's mighty 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 is finding a home in nearly every new Mercedes product. Fitted to the CLS63, the blown mill is good for 518 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque in standard form. Customers can opt for the AMG Performance Package which will tune up the boost from 14.5 to 18.8 psi, resulting in a
9 years ago, Volkswagen unveiled the Microbus concept at the 2001 North American International Auto Show. Despite high praise and an official green-light for production, the model was shelved due to cost concerns. It's time to dust off the periodic dream of a new Volkswagen Microbus. The UK's Auto Express reports that Klaus Bischoff, chief designer for the Volkswagen brand, thinks a new version of the classic Camper is a fundamental part of his job.
Speaking with Auto Express, Bischoff state
In case any of you readers intend to travel down to Kuala Lumpur in the month of December do take note that the KL International Motor Show 2010 (KLIMS 2010) will be held on the 3rd to the 12th of December 2010 at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC). From what I gather, the main highlights of the event will be Hyundai's South East Asian preview of the new Avante and there is a chance for visitors to win a Toyota Prius as well as two Proton Saga cars.
Hyundai will preview their IX-Metro city
According to a report from Japan's Nikkei.com, Honda will stop selling the Civic sedan in its home market as soon as existing inventories run out.
As customers shift their focus towards MPVs and more compact vehicles, the popularity of the Civic has dwindled substantially in Japan
With the Murcielago out of production, Lamborghini prepares itself for the launch of its replacement (some have called it the 'Jota', which I doubt would be the name) in 2011-2012. So how do they tell their fans, loyal customers and also the general public? They preview an important part of any top of the range Lamborghini ; the V12 engine.
It has been stated that the Lamborghini range topping cars must run a V12 engine. And the Murcielago replacement stated for launch next year will get a t
Not too long ago, I bid adieu to a faithful friend that has served me well as a mode of transport. As my friend drove me out of the dealer lot where it was hastily "abandoned", I couldn't help but feel a slight pang of sadness in my heart. As the deal was put together rather briskly and in a clinical and professional manner, I barely had time to register that I no longer owned it anymore.
It might be something that pragmatic and utilitarian vehicle owners might not understand, but I genuine
What you see here are the latest spy shots of the upcoming 2012 Porsche 911, codenamed 991.
The newcomer looks similar to the current model, but it is a completely new model. The 991 model is a little longer and wider than the car it replaces, giving a little extra space in the 911
