The management at McLaren could have felt embarrassed by the fact that their supercar, the MP4-12C, got trashed by the Lamborghini Aventador in episode 8 of Head-to-Head. Therefore, for the 2013 model year, the British race car maker decides to give the car a series of improvement, with the most significant upgrade being a 25bhp power bump. This brings the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8's total output to a screaming 616bhp, but still fall behind the Aventador
