The Gallardo had been on sale for 10 years, with over 14 thousand(14,022 to be exact) models being produced in that time – making it the most successful model to come from the Italian supercar manufacturer.

First introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2003, the Gallardo marked the 40th anniversary of Lamborghini and in those 10 years we’ve seen an astonishing 35 variants of the Gallardo.

The original Gallardo was powered by a 513bhp 5.0-litre V10 engine and within two years of its launch, the first special edition had been unveiled. The Gallardo SE debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2005 and was limited to just 250 models, it was so popular in fact, all models had sold before any of them had been produced. Changes to the SE included a power boost to 520bhp, a redesigned roof and a new-look interior.

In the same year, the first Gallardo Spyder joined the range, which was followed by the Superlegerra in 2007. This was the first in a long line of stripped out and hunkered down Gallardo supercars, which seen an increase in power from the V10 engine and extensive use of carbon fibre to reduce weight.

It was also fitted with a new direct-injection 5.2-litre V10 engine developing 552bhp and was later followed by a Spyder, lightweight Superleggera and high-performance Spyder Performante versions, with the latter developing 562bhp – this was also the last Gallardo to be produced at the Sant’Agata plant.

Next year, the replacement for the Gallardo will be unveiled, likely to be called the Cabrera. It should have close to 600bhp from Lamborghini’s latest version of the 5.2-litre V10.

It is an amazing model! so sad to end it. Hope the next replacement will be as great as Gallardo!

Although the Gallardo started production only 10 years ago, there are more Gallardos on the roads than all other Lamborghini models combined!

Takes alot of balls to be replacing the best selling model of all time.

  • Are forums outdated? I try to find out by asking AI

Is your boss asking you to explore and learn how to use AI to improve the quality and efficiency of your work? Yup, you aren't the only one in that boat.  Whilst exploring new AI tools, I figured: Why not use it to answer some burning questions that I have? This time, it was about whether forums are outdated. Yes, forums like this one that we are on. I remember how before social media became popular, and before apps like Carousell existed, forums were where I chatted with others t

    Germany is weird, too

As we've previously established and regularly highlighted, Japan is pretty weird.  And as it turns out, Germany's kinda weird, too:  m2-res_720p.mp4 The above video has been making its rounds on social media, and the simplest description of it is that it's a game where they are trying to cut an object (here, a pretzel) EXACTLY in half. It's pretty amazing that the person actually succeeds, but the fact that this is a game at all (on TV, no less) is fascinating.  Schlag d

5 ways the Polestar 2 Core Edition proves less can be more

With a less-is-more approach, the Polestar 2 Core Edition offers a more value-for-money entry into the Swedish brand.  What first comes to mind when you think of Sweden? IKEA, and probably ABBA. But there's plenty more that has come out of Sweden besides flat-pack furniture, meatballs and impossibly-catchy pop songs. Founded as a standalone brand just eight years ago and headquartered in Torslanda, Sweden, Polestar is a design-forward electric performance brand that wants to put its Sc

Cordless vacuum cleaners: A young adult's best friend?

Every young adult probably arrives at the same point when they’ve started working for a few years: Household chores start to become more enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong – they don’t have to be one’s favourite activity on earth. But chores start to make sense: An environment that’s put-together is always a welcome haven, whether it’s returning home after a long day out, or simply staying in over the weekend (or when you’re working from home.) As a young adult myself, I've come to appreciate an
