To make it a little cooler, they decided that the funky little GTi deserves a little more attention and gave it the lead role in an action-packed short clip. In it, the 208 GTi 30th is seen dodging countless disasters, bullets and missiles. While a little too over-the-top, it does features the its forebear, the 205 GTi, at the start of the clip.

Other than the new two tone paint scheme, it now gets 208bhp and 300Nm of torque from its 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, eight horses and 25Nm more than the normal 208 GTi. Power is channelled through a six-speed gearbox and a Torsen LSD that is borrowed from the RCZ R. It will now do the century sprint in 6.5 seconds and stops better with larger front brakes (323mm in diameter and 28mm thick discs). A recalibrated ESP and traction control system allow the 10mm lower suspension and wider front and track to be more reactive to the driver's input.

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 9)

You know when you go to a mamak shop or Good Price and see those brightly coloured plastic toy 'instruments' that you would buy for kids to bang away on? Well, someone (Japanese, of course) had the idea to basically turn that into an actual musical instrument.  I present you: The Otamatone.  The Otamatone originated in Japan in 1998, thanks to the creative minds at CUBE Works and Maywa Denki. This playful music instrument boasts a quirky, note-inspired design that has captured the imag

Tennis: Beautiful game that doesn't know how to count

Wimbledon just concluded yesterday (congrats Sinner!), and it's a reminder of how much I enjoy tennis as a sport. I used to play it some (wasn't particularly good), and still tangentially follow it nowadays (the Roland Garros final this year between Alcaraz and Sinner is an all-time classic).  There's something intrinsically mesmerising about the sport, I think even for spectators who have never picked up a racquet. At first glance, it may seem like just two people (or four, but doubles is

Godzilla Minus One: Surprisingly emotional and poignant

When one thinks of Godzilla movies, one imagines an oversized amphibious dinosaur generating a terrifying heat ray from its mouth and fighting with other oversized monsters. Meh, nothing special, right? Wrong. Here’s why Godzilla Minus One should be an action movie you should definitely catch. In this version, the timeless clash between monster and man is once again set against the tumultuous backdrop of post-war Japan. But, unlike typical action films that dive headfirst into destruction a
