Tesla investigates fatal Autopilot related crash in China

blogentry-133713-0-67367200-1474019781_thumb.jpgTesla has announced that it is investigating a fatal Autopilot Model S crash that occurred in China. The car crashed into a street sweeping truck on a Chinese highway while Autopilot was enabled.

 

According to Reuters, the family of 23-year old Gao Yaning blamed the semi-autonomous driving feature for the death and has since filed a lawsuit against Tesla in July.

 

Tesla has responded that it is unable to determine the feature was in use or not due to the serve damage caused by the crash.

 

Online comments have suggested that Autopilot could have been enabled and failed to recognize the sweeper truck as the car is seen not avoiding nor braking before the impact.

This tell you,not to trust 100% "Self Driving"....A Car is always a Car,it won't "feel" pain when crashed...

I wish people would stop using the autopilot. How Darwinian is that? At those speeds, you take your hands off the controls?
