Wire insulation may get hard and brittle over time and if there's extra heat from too much current, may just push it ovet its limit. What I'm trying to say is, I'm not ready to gamble on it as I've read many car catch fire on the road and I don't want to be one of the statistic. Cool Neutral Newbie May 5, 2002 Share May 5, 2002 Mike is right.. the cables will melt and cost $$$ to replace. I have once used a 80W foglight bulbs.. luckily, it blew and my fuse tripped..
