Tron Neutral Newbie August 18, 2005 Author Share August 18, 2005 (edited) hello brandons! yes i tried the golf gti... solid build & quality, looks are so-so, power is there and gearbox is sweet but a bit like playstation - uninvolving in a way. but good car nonetheless. i wld have bought the gti IF not for agent's bad sales attitude... seriously bad.. oladi complain in forum haha... surprisingly though it seems many ppl kenna this bad attitude, so i think im not alone. 147gta? i jus sold my 147gta... haha! maybe tats y the SE bad attitude was major part in my decision not to get the GTi... cos i already drive a hyper hot hatch..! but u kno la humans... now sold already start to miss it, 147gta really is a better "Chieter" than my current ride. very wild and loud.. in and out of traffic smooth like silk. now tat i hav a saloon car wit backside i somehow more worried when chionging the car. makes me really appreciate hatchbacks; the yet to be released new Fiat punto GT is sounding lik one of thos - wit 1.6lturbo doin 180bhp.. - hatchbacks will alwys hav special place in my heart! cheers! u leh? last i heard it was a fairlady right? Sounds corny yeah? Waitin for my next girlfriend to appear. Clock's ticking. Any moment soon I guess. Really like the Honda's Type R's' but I guess I will settle for the other one. Madsumm 1st Gear August 18, 2005 Share August 18, 2005 The iPOD Pack should be good as the power source (charging) is not from the Cigeratte lighter. This is a huge plus in terms of sound quality. Another is the steering control and songnames. Bad part is that you would not be able to connect another MP3 player. I've changed my HU to Bremen and it supports 2 Aux In. IMO, euro R is swee!! followed by the Civic type R and Integra R.. but really the integra R gettin too common so lost a bit of its shine to me haha! these cars r engineered so simply & well... can corner so blardy well.. patience whn buying cars can nvr be wrong. so let me know when u change ya? I'm crossing my fingers that they allow me to test I'm sorta hooked to Integra Type R ever since that intoxicating drive of my friend's atlantic blue, straight through exhaust, carbon fibre bonnet, lowered suspension, ripped out electric motor (of the mirrors), imported lightweight rims of a specimen. Simply intoxicating. Especially so when you rev to 8,000rpm. Woosh that rush! Yeah I'm waitin and a waitin because I'm pretty sure the COE's gonna drop. I'm not in a hurry either. (was at lok yang warehouse molesting it b4 the launch ma & saw it beforehand) so persuaded them go down test drive it wit me... basket ball damn embarassing man... anywys long story & posted b4 in tis forum... to keep it short, aftr the crap i had at CnC, i went down EuroA on the same day, asked to test the 156gta selespeed...not only did thy say OK but some more allow not only me but my fren (not driving alfa) to test it also... so u tell me la, at 1st wanted to save money be good boy & get gti but kenna tis type of treatment... so in the end.. heck it all & got the 156gta esp since i got quite a few mods i can transfer fr me 147.. evn my frens was quite shocked by treatment at CnC... & equally SHOCKED tat how come EA so generous... haha!! tats y if u ask me, IF alfa starts to sell as well as say: BMW or Lexus etc... i got feeling their service will definitely drop. tats the problem wit ppl... once they made it oni... siao liao forget how to treat others.. Hatch_lover Neutral Newbie August 18, 2005 Share August 18, 2005 cant wait ot meet the outcast alfas... i also 1 of them seems like all the outcasts are here ha ha.....aroc looks deserted nowadays... anyway back to the topic, just change HU to play MP3 lah, otherwise transmit through FM, sound won't be great but then again, you already sacrifice some sound quality for MP3 convenience already. I took the FM transmiter route, super no kick for me. Like u said, converting to MP3 already degrades the sound quality, and then transmits thru FM, laji jia lat sounding so now I just pop in my cds Really hope EA would consider bringing in the ipod pack... Tron Neutral Newbie August 18, 2005 Author Share August 18, 2005 heh... i think safest bet of course is to use Blaupunkt if still want the steering controls and for it to match the Ipod pack fr Factory (if we can get it in) but for personal reasons, i dun like blaupunkt... so i got meself an alpine HU (9855) but havnt install yet.. now tellin myself to slow down & find out more abt ICE & who is a respectable installer specifically before i commit further! now think abt it.. im sure the ipod pack fr factory will fit ur GT also right?
