Yes its A Ok to drive in USA with a valid international driving license. Get it from AA.

LA's traffic is hairy to the balls! Be very careful when overtaking because drivers there are agressive. San Francico through to LA... Try Pacific Coast Highway! Damn nice. Stop by Malibu for a while and gawk at those beach girls. But quite a number are fatso's' so gawk with caution [:|][laugh][laugh]

Enjoy and please be careful.

yup don't need IDL.

being a LHD place, i think u need lots of getting used to. rule of thumb, driver always closer to center of road than side of road.

Safe? As long as you don't hog the extreme left lane ok liao

have been driving there in the last 8 yrs, and I don't really find the drivers there any aggressive.

They are more courteous than Singpaore drivers, if one were to compare.

Car Pool lane is good when you have a passenger in your car, but if you are driving alone, please don't drive on car pool lane (Singapore driver's bad habit of driving bus lane) as there'll be traffic police catching such offenders. please also drive within speed limit, it's no fun being warned or chased by the police there .. haha

oh yes, I think the coast drive is highway 280. nice drive.

on the freeway some cars tend to go fast

however on normal roads, they give way alot

for example, when u reach a junction

even if they have the right of way by (left hand rle etc), if you reached the junction and stop before them, they will give way to you

its very different form singapore

which is so totally cool man...
