Pisces69 6th Gear September 3, 2005 Share September 3, 2005 I do it once in a while to blow carbon. That's the time I got caught along Gambas for speeding some time back. My engine is actually quite smooth at redline. Yours might just b the loud engine as your soundproofing is not so good. I regularly bring to 4-5K RPM for a few seconds just to give the engine a workout & also see if I can detect any problems during this time.
Kwongwing Neutral Newbie September 3, 2005 Share September 3, 2005 I have the RMK Voltage Stabilizer + grounding - about $130. Quite happy with it. Other brands you can consider are Pivot and Raizin?

Octopus 3rd Gear September 4, 2005 Share September 4, 2005 I do it once in a while to blow carbon. Ya, mine don't have any soundproofing. I also clear carbon once in a while, but rpm only reached around 4k rpm in 5th gear and speed around 130 ~ 140 km/hr........dare not go any higher cos old car, something may give way. Pisces69 6th Gear September 4, 2005 Share September 4, 2005 It's good to rev to redline once in a while as you can detect problems which r not so obvious at slow speeds. If u don't want to speed, just redline it in 2nd or 3rd gear on an empty stretch of the e'way for a few seconds. Never redline in neutral as this is not good for the engine. Saggi 1st Gear September 4, 2005 Author Share September 4, 2005 Hello Meoo... didnt have any specific brand to recomment but if u fix it at JB , half or 60-70% the price of local...if budget restraint like me , can try to grounding only...without the capacitor..! I think you will feel the different more on older car.
