Pklam Neutral Newbie September 16, 2005 Share September 16, 2005 Got my Accord 2.0l from Kah Motors a few days ago, very happy with it. It got a fierce front look and I like the ride comfort. Originally intend to get Camry, but after test drived both cars, my other family members and I voted Accord. These are the items I look-out for when comparing Camry and Accord 2.0L 1. Noise level from engine/transmission/exhaust/wind/rain (Accord wins) 2. Aircon for both driver and especially rear passengers (Accord wins) 3. Size of interior (That is why didn't consider Euro-R) 4. Fuel Economy (Accord 5 speed auto with I-VTEC) 5. Reliablity (Camry is known for it, but the above 4 items cause me to buy Accord instead) The above is not intend to affect any sales from both Toyota or Honda and I am neither a saleman. Just some pointers to share since this is a Accord 2.0L thread. Hopefully we can share more info in future. Thanks

Pklam Neutral Newbie September 16, 2005 Share September 16, 2005 Yepp, happy now. (Will update if any fault found on this new 2.0L Accord form Kah Motors) 1. Aircon too cold even at lowest fan setting, maybe still new. Don't like to adjust temperature as it will open a VALVE to allow hot engine coolant to warm-up the aircon. From what I understand, this VALVE tends to leak over a period of time. 2. Any front strut bar to buy and where and how much ??? (Was using a front strut bar on my previous VTI and the feeling is GOOD.)

Johnchong Neutral Newbie September 16, 2005 Share September 16, 2005 The Honda Accord is definitely a good choice. My Dad's 98 Accord is very reliable. Plus the double-wishbones do their job when cornering. Ever tried the PIE Adam exit chicane at 80kmh? Ok, pretend I didn't say that. Btw, I'm enjoying every bit of my 3L Accord now. Subarufan Neutral Newbie September 16, 2005 Share September 16, 2005 Wow I really envy you! Is your Accord Jap made? How do you compare it with Legacy. I also intent to change my 3+ year Impreza TS. Still considering whether to upgrade to 2.0L car.

Pklam Neutral Newbie September 16, 2005 Share September 16, 2005 Hi, Subarufan: 1. Accord is Thai made. 2. I did not consider Subaru Legacy, so did not even test drive. I did test drive the older Legacy and did not like it at all, not sure about the newer Legacy. Regards Ps: I have a lot of ICE spares(active and passive system, mainly Electronic X-over/power amps and speakers) and intend to sell, whoever interested can pm me
Firstcall Clutched September 19, 2005 Share September 19, 2005 Legacy is much smaller interior front and back but with 4WD it has better handling. It has the best sound system for car of that price range. The current 2.0i lacks power compared to Accord. If you have a few more grand to spare, get the 165bhp 2.0R. Sound insulation is pretty good also. In short- if you want lots of space, business and more mature look without sacrificing performance, go for KM's Accord. If you want to upgrade to a smart looking sports executive sedan with performance go for Legacy 2.0R. If u lack the budget u can go for the 2.0i currently selling at 86+k or JDM Accord from PI around 90k.
Subarufan Neutral Newbie September 20, 2005 Share September 20, 2005 Test bro. I tested the Legacy. I am very impressed by the build and the elegance of the interior. True enough that the 2.0i is not that powerful, but I am not that chiong type anymore ( age is catching up), and I don't want to over spend on my ride. I just want to have a nice and comfortable car. I have not tested the Accord, but noticed lots of them on the road, especially the Euro R model. Kind of nice looking car from the outside. Must test it one of these days.
