Volk74 Neutral Newbie September 13, 2005 Share September 13, 2005 Sorry...tried a search but ended up too many sister brand hits..(same spelling) Just want to know how can I take out the Octy's front seat? I got a huge spring which drop off from the front seat and want to fix it back....saw some crack plastic too... Think adjusted the seat's height too frequently (for wife to drive)... Thank you. ↡ Advertisement
Steady Neutral Newbie September 13, 2005 Share September 13, 2005 I think you can forget about fixing that spring back. Mine drop off a few weeks after getting my car, and I found dozen of these springs at Servo. Seems like a design fault. Tried to fix back but to no avail. Anyway it does not affect the seats at all, just a tad more strength to increase the height of the seats.
Skodarr Neutral Newbie September 13, 2005 Share September 13, 2005 I manage to fix it back but it came off again ... Therefore, I gave up on it ... It's true that this spring doesn't affect the seat angle or adjustment ... Furthermore, it will take off a little load on the car and slightly more horsepower... Fortress Clutched September 14, 2005 Share September 14, 2005 (edited) Mine too...in the 1st year, due to the plastic holder that broke. The spring is to help support the chair, at the bottom. The shifting got nothing to do with the spring coming out, it is the weight. sorry.... Edited September 14, 2005 by Fortress
