Ferrari7 Neutral Newbie March 30, 2006 Share March 30, 2006 "I think maybe the coach is trying to keep to his time schedule and speed of 110km/h. Being heavy and on diesel, going up hill is actually quite difficult for them so they need to gather the momentum. Downhill 140+ and uphill 120+, with all the momentum, the loss the different is already 20. Just wondering the difference if they were to travel at 110+, without the momentum, maybe they speed becomes 70km/h going up hill ! At that speed, many more cars will try to overtake them and that becomes dangerous. But of course, straight road 140+ ... too dangerous! " Yeah thats true. . . easier to tackle a hill at higher speed. Approach too slow and might have to downshift. Bus uncle wunt like it.
Wayhow Neutral Newbie March 30, 2006 Share March 30, 2006 EP70 ... fastest was 150km/h on ECP and another time on PIE... Felt that the speed was manageable, but the steering wheel was shaking very badly above 110km/h. Anyway that time on PIE, I was tailgated by a Honda Stream at that speed. Boh bian top speed liao, so I changed to second lane, and he overtook me at a even higher speed
Steam Neutral Newbie March 30, 2006 Share March 30, 2006 (edited) bro, next time tab ur brakes, try to slow down to 70km/h and below, then drop gear, rev & go... u might b able 2 pull away frm him 1st b4 he slowly catch up. remember our power-to-weight ratio is much better. so make use of our advantage. check it out. btw, go service your carb & do a high speed wheel alignment and your ride will be fine. cheers!
