Octopus 3rd Gear October 20, 2005 Share October 20, 2005 Wow, 31 years. How much longer until COE expires? Intend to renew for another 10 years?
Elfenstar 3rd Gear October 20, 2005 Share October 20, 2005 Sorry about the "depress> pull to neutral> blip> push into gear> release " bit. i was being a lil anal. But now that you've brought it up, I think i do method 1 (i'm not too sure as its an automatic reaction now), but i'm sure i started off with method 2 as it was easier to change my gearchange habits with that. I've been wondering about one thing... for the pre-syncro g/boxes, would they be similar to whats considered a dogbox (i.e. instead of tons of mini-gears -sorry best description i can think of for now-, a four speed would have literally 4 gears plus one that linked to the engine)??? Zrun Neutral Newbie October 20, 2005 Share October 20, 2005 It doesn't pop out of gear.. It seems that the shift cable is slightly slower than the transmission... I never know that engine mounts will affect the shifting. But I do have stiff engine mounts. I live in cold weather, so cannot go too lightweight on transmission oil. Next time I'll try Motul, everyone says it is the best. MT-90 is abit thick, but high quality.
