Marcostan 4th Gear October 13, 2005 Share October 13, 2005 Brother, I using MF applicator to apply AIO & Sealant. Never never use circular motion, only using back & for motion to avoid swirl marks. Why don't come to join our Rav4 wash & wax on 29 October. Sure you can learn and know everything you want to know about detailing. What say you. Imuya Clutched October 16, 2005 Share October 16, 2005 Hi Gen2, sorry to bother you again! Hope you don't mind answering some questions from me again. Jus went to buy the Meguair's Crystal System Polish. They advertised it as a pure polish. Ok, I'm planning to do a proper detailing sometime the coming week. I'm planning to use the following products: 1.)Meguair's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner 2.)Meguair's Deep Crystal Polish 3.)Gold Class Wax My question is, in your opinion, do I need to go get the #20 Sealant? Say, i use NXT as the wax in the last step, can it act as a sealant as well? I want to save money you see, to get both sealant and NXT wax for me is Time to train up those arm muscles. Gen2 Neutral Newbie October 16, 2005 Share October 16, 2005 No problem bro , My question is, in your opinion, do I need to go get the #20 Sealant? Say, i use NXT as the wax in the last step, can it act as a sealant as well? If you have NXT wax than there is no need for the #20 Sealant and since your car is red, NXT will be a better choice. If you are getting the NXT wax, than I would recommand you the following steps, 1.) Paint Cleaner 2.) Polish 3.) NXT wax -> 12-24 hrs later -> NXT wax Personnaly I feel NXT looks better than GC for red, so I would rather put 2 layers of NXT than GC. But a word of advice, do not apply NXT to hot or warm surface and apply a thin layer, if not you might have streaking problem.

Angieyeo Neutral Newbie October 24, 2005 Share October 24, 2005 Hi Marcos, do you mean that from 4 to 5, you can do immediately one aft another but when applying another layer of KSG, have to wait for 12-24 hours? my ride got alot of those swirl marks, i guess i had wash the car incorrectly, was hoping the above steps recommended can help. btw, does the KSG beads raindrops? my ride is black, hence watermarks are very obvious. Marcostan 4th Gear October 24, 2005 Share October 24, 2005 Angieyeo, Yes, step 4 to 5 no waiting. For your case u can apply AIO few more times (apply with some pressure), doing this will take out some of swirl marks & watermarks. Yes you need to wait 12-24hrs between layering of KSG. KSG beads raindrops like crazy. MarcosTan
