latest repairs:

replace 2 rear disc brakes + brake pads :$210

radiator relay + renewal of wires : $43

those who want to buy a Presea, as a COE car, must be prepared to spend $$ on minor repairs like this, or else forgeddit [sweatdrop]

Turbocharged

Hi, this is my debut post. I am driving a July 1991 presea (manual).

I have been driving this car since 2001. The fuel consumption is about 9 to 10km/litre (without turning on the aircon).

The mileage clocked is 262000km. Care to share your milleage meter reading here?

Any suggestions on modifications to improve the FC? Has anybody tried broquet on this car?

I usually do my servicing and replacement of parts at Comfort Automotive Singapore (CAS) at Pandan Road. I think it is one of the cheapest shop for the usual oil servicing.

Not sure about the repair price though.

My car needs a new coat of paint. Can someone suggest a good shop in the west.

The mechanic at CAS is quoting me about $1.5k. I heard Lee Sheng is only charging $700

(found it in an advertisement in Wheels magazine)

Anybody intend to re-new the COE again after it expire on 08/2011?

Hi, I have just repaired the rear brakes also. Price is close to what you have listed.

I done it at CAS (Comfort Delgro).

Overall, I think Presea is quite a reliable car. These five years, it has never broken down on the road and left me stranded.

I think the occasion repair cost for wear and tear is quite alright. I would be interested to improve its fuel efficiency though.

Yes, I have driven it for 5 years (since 2001).

No major problems, except that I spent about $800 (once) to replace the fours tyres + some strut bars, rods thingy (lost the receipt)in the year 2005. Other than that, no other major issues. The support needs to be replaced as it was causing the wheel to be out of alignment and causing pre-mature tyre wheel. I replaced it for safety reasons.

The power window got stuck and can't be rolled down fully. After which it cannot be rolled up again. CAS quoted $200 for replacement of motor parts but Ah Beng shop quoted about $80 using re-con. Anybody facing this issue. I have been ignoring this issue as

safety is not compromised anyway.

Anybody knows where to paint my car?
