Selespeed156 Neutral Newbie January 27, 2003 Share January 27, 2003 This is the next beauty from the italians and I think designed by Pininfarina:The sporty new model revives the Sprint name after more than a decade of absence. The Sprint name was last seen on an Alfasud-based coupe in 1989. These spy photos show how the sleek lines of the Alfa's 147 hatchback were transformed into a coupe. The front-design is very similar to that of the 147 but the typical Alfa grille is even bolder. At the rear the design is completely different and it probably also suggests what we can expect of the 156 replacement. Auto Express reports that the entry-level Sprint use the 147's 1.6-litre power train, but a more powerful model will borrow the 2-litre JTS engine of the 156. Of course there will be a hot GTA version as well. This model will feature a 3.2-litre V6 muscle engine. This looks really like a cool car....I wonder what the base model's price is going to be..... And do you think a cabriolet version will be released?...
