Optra on 16V ECOTEC?

[Chevyoptrag]

Browse the chevrolet.com.sg website today and discovered that the engine spec for Optra is 1.6 16V ECOTEC. Thought Optra engine spec is E-TECII all the while. Are these 2 engine spec the same? Is the new Optra using new engine spec?

[Lorrliew]

Not suprising as they are now all part of GM group, ECOTEC originated from Opel.

Serious or not? Ecotec? ETECII and Ecotec are similar but not the same.

Yes confirm, i am suprise also, its stated only for the engine spec for Optra

The facelift Optra still having the E-TEC II engine. The website is not accurate.
