Exhaust Pipe diameter vs engine power

dun think got much power la.. cos it's 3" lei.. the diameter.. too big liao.. haha.. only the sound swee.. not too loud.. but since it's an coe car, so can hear the exhaust very deafening at around 2000-3000RPM range.. and after travelling long distances, like to MY, the sound is super loud. even stationary. can fight with those evo.. haha.. but when just started, the sound is softer. if tailpipe smaller den good le.. haha.. [:p]

The rear muffler is so near to the bumper, wouldn't the heat melt and darken the bumper paint? Looks like no tailpipe required too!

Yeah, I've seen some "performance" cars using either a steel sheet, or carbon fibre sheet to line the bumper area just above the exhaust. Wonder if that helps. Furthermore his car is white, any soots on the bumper would be obvious.
