Tehtarik69 Neutral Newbie November 6, 2006 Share November 6, 2006 Machine polishing is great , but I have just burnt through another backing plate. When the heat builds up, that's when the polishing pads velcro backing also cuts through exposing the sponge . So fed up of the heat build up in GEX270 so seriously considering another D/A. Is the Ryobi any better? Need your opinions . Thanks in advance ↡ Advertisement
Gen2 Neutral Newbie November 6, 2006 Share November 6, 2006 If you are serious in machine polishing, I suggest getting the Rupes instead. It will solve your burnt problem and give even a better result but cost a 'few' bit more than the Ryobi .

Garlic 1st Gear November 7, 2006 Author Share November 7, 2006 Any good lobang for the rotary? I'm interested in a Rupes or Makita as well, second hand unit which I have is giving me some problems, I believe its due to wear and tear over the years. Garlic 1st Gear November 7, 2006 Author Share November 7, 2006 Bosch makes a rotary machine too but I'm not sure if its avaliable in Singapore. More info: http://ukptocs.bosch-pt.com/boptocs-uk/Pro...16&prod_id=5890
Tehtarik69 Neutral Newbie November 7, 2006 Share November 7, 2006 As you mentioned, you must be quite good after these years using it. I was doing a search on this topic and came across someone selling http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Aftermarke...=ryobi;#1611258 Any opinions on this PE2200? Seems lighter than even the PC or most rotary. Also I see mention of Hitachi brand on sander/polisher. Any comments? What I really need is one that is not too heavy and won't blow a big hole in my pocket.
