Spade Neutral Newbie December 11, 2005 Share December 11, 2005 Hi, I know I'm going to sound silly, but what's the difference between a fuel cracker and a fuel magnet? which one does RMK Ion Booster fall under? I suspect its the same thing, but surprisingly I've seen advertisements for both RMK fuel magnet and Ion Booster... Normal_aspirated Clutched December 12, 2005 Share December 12, 2005 (edited) wat ever they call it......sama, sama lah. still magnetic thingy. works for old cars and those days the fuel is less cleaner and lower quality than now. Dun seem to work for newer cars. some owners may hv experience slightly better throttle response but without fuel savings. Yc86 Clutched December 12, 2005 Share December 12, 2005 (edited) it's all in the mind? supposed to make the fuel more 'laminar' in flow.. more streamlined.. for easier flow i think. i think getting fuel lines with smoother internals or just shorten the lines will do better than any of these 'mods'.. internal friction in the stock tubes does slow things down.. if u wanna take it to the molecular level. I have tried the magnetic fuel saver thing and all it does is make you drive more consciouly. There is no special improvement on the FC. Just my opinion..... Tann Clutched December 18, 2005 Share December 18, 2005 Note there are many type off Fuel Magnet in the market and most of them only support 2 side (top n bottom/ north pole) the actual tyoe is North n South pole and also 4 side support and you can get the diff. Yc86 Clutched December 18, 2005 Share December 18, 2005 pardon me for asking... but how can a magnet affect the fuel? i believe there are no iron or any magnetic contents in fuel... will someone explain the relationship between a magnet and fuel? why not 2 pieces of wood clamped on the fuel line to 'save fuel'? Just like the brake enhance you mention about bleeding it but I did it other way and it work (even you where there at the chevy meetup to see for yourself) so as for the Magnet there are many type so which type or the right type I am willing to let anyone try mine (take out mine for testing) You might think 1-5 snake oil. But feel of us in the chevy members already tested and it does work somehow. Just like a person that are sick when to western doctor and take the medicine still cannot recover and when to a chinese physician takke their medicine fell better and recover, so it just the right ...... So does all the petrol (Shell/Caltex/Mobile/SPC Ron98 or Ron95..) give the same performance and FC the answer is no. if anyone of you take a try on every type of the petrol brand into you car you can feel the diff in the response, FC power going up the slope. In Chevy meetup 01. I did the Brake vaccum (and you knew it works) 02. Grounding (reposition) And i dont think that sometime i like about your -ve oomment so must voice out. NMR has been used for diagnosis and not treatment in medicine. Trying petrol brands is already done. I get 13km/L no matter which petrol I use from RON92 to 98. How much power do you need going up the slope, this isn't the Rally to the Skies or Pike's Peak Challenge. The main slopes I get a MSCP slopes. Brake vacuum is OK but I find my braking adequate, I don't see why some people want a car made by the Koreans be made to feel like a Japanese car? I've done grounding but that car was really old like 18yrs. I don't see the need for new cars. I definitely don't see the need for VS gadgets. I don't see my car experiencing electrical failures causing meltdown and creating blackholes that will suck all of us into a singularity. Tell me a reason why I should spend so much money for such little returns? If you want to make someone else richer with your money that can be put in a fat Maybank iSavvy account, be my guest. I don't buy snake oil and I'm not that desperate for power in a brand new car. I just drop the gear, drop the clutch, floor it. When I need to brake, I slow with the brakes, drop the gear, floor the accelerator and brake with my left foot to dial my car back into traction. My answer to all this snake oil is already in the previous paragraph. The human brain is the most adaptable and most advanced on this planet. It can control the feet and the hands coordinated with the eyes and mid ear balance organs to tune and manipulate.
