For those interested in this tire. Here is a picture of it. No I don't have them yet. Intend to wear out the 326 before installling them if I can find out where in JB.

Apparently a lot of UK drivers like them.

Not Malaysia brand. It is a Czech brand like Skoda but not available here but only in Malaysia. I think they are made in Malaysia or Thailand. It is a Continental budget brand. Ranked very well in many tests. Cheap also. Abou MYR165 for a 195/50-15. Didn't have a chance to go up there to change. That is why settled for the Falken 326. If I really don't like them, I will get Barums earlier.

Traction rated A, threadwear 280.

This is an update. I got myself a set of Barum Bravuris tires.

First impressions. The tire is quiet. Rather quiet. Not the quietest but comparatively quiet for a performance tire.

The shoulders are more rounded compared to the squarish shoulders of most tires people sought to have.

The design looks noisy but it doesn't sound like it is noisy.

Its raining now. Time to check out its straight aquaplane properties which is second after the Vredestein tested against it. It has 3 a "longkang" on it compared to the miserable 1 I had on the Falken 326.

Reports from Autoworld.com revealed that it will grow noticeably more noisy after 15k. Wear is very good. These tires are hard wearing.

I just traveled around in JB and saw a shop. Went in and bought them. They are eveywhere. Conti's budget brand.

195/50-15, 195/55-15 is all that I saw. There are larger sizes if I'm not wrong. Check www.barum.com.my for details.

Barum Barum Barum Barum Barum Barum..... wink.gif

BTW, it is has a pretty good low rolling resistance. It is also a fuel economy tire of sorts.

The tyres in the 1st pic and the subsequent ones looked different.

The pic shown on the MY site is also different.

Anyway this is from the MY site. How much does the 17" and 18" cost in JB?

Bravuris

Cuts through bends. Clips the costs.

- Highly durable wide tyre

- Safe handling in bends

- Precise grip at high speed and in all weathers

- Speed rating: H,V AND ZR W

A tough player

The optimised tread pattern, combined with the flat belt contour, ensures even pressure distribution. This in turn means reduced wear, high mileage performance and prolonged pleasure from your tyres.

Wide and safe

Solid shoulder lugs and a circumferential central rib ensure precise steering response and good straight-line stability.

Aqua without the planning

The lateral grooves extending well into the tread centre provide good water dispersion and reduce the risk of aquaplanning.

Quietly does it

The offset tread lugs and lug edges ensure even, quiet running, thereby minimising driving noise and enhancing comfort.

OK I found out why they are different from a fellow forummer. Lower profile tires have 4 aquachannel longkangs and the higher profile ones have 3.

That's the difference. First pic is from a car using the high profile version.

Dunno about the 17 and 18 prices. Mine is a 195/50-15 and has 4 channels like the one pictured.
