Genie47 1st Gear December 27, 2005 Share December 27, 2005 You got to be kidding! Fuel regulator is only needed when your car needs huge amounts of petrol to feed its enormous capacity for air like in forced induction applications. Gauge? Only put the oil pressure and temperature gauge would be good. Vac gauge also good. VS? Nah!
Car_man 2nd Gear December 27, 2005 Author Share December 27, 2005 So you mean fuel regulator is not needed? i tok can save fuel . So you know any place i can go in JB for all this?
Genie47 1st Gear December 27, 2005 Share December 27, 2005 I don't recommend these for a simple grocery getter car. Looks nice, looks fierce but doesn't add anything except the vanity factor.
Car_man 2nd Gear December 27, 2005 Author Share December 27, 2005 errr i tok at least can have the enough power when the vacumn is fixed. So do u recommend anything to fix?
Slayer Clutched December 27, 2005 Share December 27, 2005 Bro, I suppose u driving a Chevvy ? I mean if u don't drive at the higher end of the RPM range most of the time.. there is not much value add to mod the engine for power lor. But if u want to feel more responsive at the throttle.. well u can try smaller/lighter tyre, lighten the load, lighten flywheel, probably a vacuum tank would help, a good CAI setup (read take in cooler air). But all the above for a marginal reward that will soon 'normalised' , its your choice lor If your intention is to improve driving pleasure.. of course that is opens a wider range of things that you might like to do lor.. Car_man 2nd Gear December 27, 2005 Author Share December 27, 2005 Ya indeed.me driving AVEO 1.4 A. Me now have the stoch rim.So Need to change to a lighter one? i already have a Cold air intake and hurrican filter. So i install a vacumn tank? Any place? * What you mean by a good CAI setup ? Do you mean the installation or the parts only?
Slayer Clutched December 27, 2005 Share December 27, 2005 There is a chap in subaruclubsg forum who is doing vacuum tanks. Not sure he do the ones for Aveos. Me no experience in Aveos.. so I cant help on whether what u have in the CAI is enough or not. :) Anyway , the idea is to have the coolest available for the intake lor. Perhaps this one will have to get Aveo's experts to advise lor..

Cbx750p 1st Gear December 29, 2005 Share December 29, 2005 (edited) You got money to spend....suggest you put nicer wheels, leather or V-cool on your ride. My comments for those items you intend to spend on : Voltage stabiliser : Rubbish stuff meant for the Greenhorn driver as it is simply does not work. A waste of money really. Other b*ullsh*it related is this ... SuperGround Cable ! Vacumn tank : Why do you need this ? Unless you have a brake problem, you would not need an additional vacuum tank. fuel regulator : Fuel regulator like the others have mentioned, is built into your fuel tank assembly as a returnless system. You cannot fit any regulator into your vehicle unless you modified you fuel tank system. This would naturally increase your fuel consumption...screw your car warranty and ruin you plugs in short a time. gauge meter : Now, this is nice ! A nice set of voltage, vacuum gauge and battery amp meters would look very nice on your dashboard but keep away from the oil pressure meters. A feed line into your engine oil pressure line is need and if this leaks...you will be screwed big time. Cheap n good : JB may be cheap and good for a lot of things but imported accessories, is not one of them. Workmanship wise....I don't know. Cbx750p 1st Gear December 29, 2005 Share December 29, 2005 Yo.... 1)i tok voltage stabiliser can stabilise you electrical component so as to keep you battery long lasting? Ans : Is that what the salesman said...yeah..sure.. 2) Vacumn tank suppose to give you enough torque when overtaking as my Aveo is lacking of? Ans : If that is true, then all the car manufacturer should be installing one of these on their cars to make it go faster......why are they not doing it ??? 3)As for leather i already have. But for something like V-cool i don't have. I saw some place in malaysia selling @ 199 ringgit don't know can install or not? Ans ; I do it for you for $50 but if it peels off, fade, discolour or blurrs out...don't call me ! Have you ever seen a glass with a peel off thint sheet...it is messy to clean off the gluey stuff. See many Malaysian cars with the peeled off, faded, discoloured and blurr...window thinting ! Morale of the story..get it done by a reliable supplier. You may pay a more but I think it is money well spent ! I had my V-Cooled by the dealer at Bukit Timah ( Tan Chong Building ). They even gave me a free replacement of the front screen when mine was chipped by a stone and had to change a new screen. That is customer service !
