Sandblasting ur rims

hi.. i have a set of SSW rims with polished lip and hypersilver spoke... i want to make the whole rims to have the polished look ( like chrome)... will sandblasting the whole rim work? or anyone knows where to 'chrome' a rim?

Sandblasting will not work, instead u shd go for chrome plating, not sure where exactly can it be done....

it's annealing process of chrome plating the item. another way is to send it to those shops tat does powder coating and inform them specifically you want the metallic chrome finish. check also tat they do an additional coat of acrylic finish to seal off the metal particles in. check under yellow pages for powder coating, plenty of these pple around. bothways will not b cheap.

Why not just change to a chrom rim, its much hassle free..... for a rim to be chrome plated wil take a bit of time, then again u gotta leave ur wheel there, last time a normal bicycle frame small bmx to chrome plate will cost abt 100 liao so if i assume if u chrome plate all the wheels u gotta spend at least 300+ just my tots..... but i may be wrong la but my bicycle part is comfirmed as i used to ride bmx

i using SSW rims... i was thinking it will be more ex looking for chrome rims... cos alot of chrome rims cant be fit into continental car..i have to buy quite an expensive rims to have a chrome and can be fit into my car..
