Super7 Turbocharged February 25, 2003 Share February 25, 2003 (edited) your guys are doing extremely fine: with the T4's lightning performance, yet can get such good fuel consumption figures (in comparison, my Airtrek runs about the same speed, eg similar 0-100 timing, yet it gives me only 7.4-8.4 km/L.......i wanna cry ) Edited February 25, 2003 by Super7
Saaber Neutral Newbie February 25, 2003 Share February 25, 2003 After 10k, it should be better...
Soya Supersonic February 25, 2003 Share February 25, 2003 Bro, ours only 1250kg compared to 1500kg for yours. The 250kg diff is like having extra 3-4 adults in the car, so your economy considered reasonable liao.
Saaber Neutral Newbie February 25, 2003 Share February 25, 2003 His car is still new....once loosen up, should give better mileage......maybe he should go NS highway to clear carbon....
Super7 Turbocharged February 25, 2003 Share February 25, 2003 (edited) talking about that, maybe we convoy up one day and burn our carbon???.... btw, it looks like i will be the only lone Airtreker in MCF for quite sometime, i think i better get affiliated to one or two sub-groups here........ let me see, which models does the airtrek share similiarities as a whole package hahhh???....... (scratching my head....)... maybe it's niehter here nor there??? Edited February 25, 2003 by Super7

Assassin Clutched March 7, 2003 Share March 7, 2003 Hi ArkaneSlayer, Thanx for the figures. The figures are quite ok leh. You can also add them in our 'Data on Fuel Consumption' thread as well for our fellow members' reference. Jman Neutral Newbie March 7, 2003 Share March 7, 2003 Hi there, sorry to intrude, I am still not sure how to calculate fuel consumption. Can anyone please enlighten me. thankssssssssssssss
Yttrium Neutral Newbie March 7, 2003 Share March 7, 2003 The best way is to fill up to full tank (reset your trip meter at the same time) and drive till the next time you refill. Take note of the no. of litres needed for the second refill to full tank. This is the amount of fuel you used. Divide the distance indicated on the trip meter by the no. of litres and this will give you your fuel consumption in km/L.
Toeknee_33 Turbocharged March 7, 2003 Share March 7, 2003 Hi Guys, Im surprised at the number of T4 forummers..guess T4s are really good bang for bucks... Im surprised at the very good fuel consumption too..no worse than a NA 2-litre..great! Mines a Citroen Xantia 3.0, doing average of 7.5km/l in mixed driving, worse of 6.9 and best of 9.9 in Malaysia. Mind you..I used to drive a 1989 Lancia Thema 16V Turbo and that gave an eye-watering 6.5km/l in mixed driving...can't even reach KL with one tank...sob Cheers! Assassin Clutched March 7, 2003 Share March 7, 2003 Hi Jman, To add on to what Yttrium has mentioned, I usually top up to full tank when I hit 1/4 tank... some people will do so when their 'empty' light blinks...On your petrol station receipt...it will state the type of petrol pumped [eg. Super98], the price per litre [eg. $1.345], how many litres you pumped and how much you paid for it. All you need to do is to write down the distance you travelled onto your receipt and when you get home, you can just transfer those figures into your PC [excel spreadsheet] for the calculations. Remember to reset your trip computer for the next reading whenever you top up to full tank. Basically: - Distance Travelled/Volume Pumped = km/litre Cheers
Soya Supersonic March 7, 2003 Share March 7, 2003 Hi Toeknee Yeah, more T4s are appearing in MCF . Quite a good bang for the buck. The fuel consumption was a bit of a surprise to me too. Was only expecting maybe 8km/l in normal driving but so far so good. The car can reach KL in just slightly over half a tank. Thema turbo huh? Must've been quite a stormer. ↡ Advertisement
