Sony 1st Gear July 20, 2006 Share July 20, 2006 Depends on what you really wants.. 10km/l for a 1.6 is definitely on the high side given that I'm driving a conti as well. have you considered other cars as well? anyway, there's a lot of discussion on Focus, Megane and Astra. You might want to read up a bit and decide. Test drive it for a feel 1st and come back for more question also helps. CHeers
Mooscenic 1st Gear July 20, 2006 Share July 20, 2006 I'll take a Citroen C4! Moooooooo
Sony 1st Gear July 20, 2006 Share July 20, 2006 It's definitely a car with very good spec.. but if people said cars like Opel, Renault and Ford are small in population, I wonder where Citroen will stand.. But C4 is definitely a unique car. I like the interior. The new Civic is no way near it. They think it's refreshing to have digi speedo in the center. Wait til they see the C4's. Not forgetting the steering wheel and their air con that allow u to insert scent oil (or something similar)
Cbx750p 1st Gear July 20, 2006 Share July 20, 2006 I will say buy the Astra 1.6 MTA ! It is a great car ! Takes only a day to get used to the new way to drive ! Hey, according to the SE, they have sold about 400 units of the 1.6 version since launch in early 2005. I have yet to come across a unit for sale except one in the SGCarMart which was gone in a day ! Miles 4th Gear July 21, 2006 Share July 21, 2006 keep the stock 15" wheels and you'll be able to achieve 10km/L FC on a FocusII sedan or hb on 50/50 highway/urban driving. go for 17" + body kits, FC will suffer.
Seiya Neutral Newbie July 21, 2006 Share July 21, 2006 i'll be most drivin on a 80% highway / 20% urban, cos my workin place and my home quite far... i should say VERY far !! (jurong to changi) so, with a 17" rim + bodykit, wat will be my FC for focus ?? (tryin to look for the best car under 70k... this will be my first car...) Yappiez Neutral Newbie July 21, 2006 Share July 21, 2006 (edited) My bro's Ford 1.6 Sedan (Stock, 2yr old) is gettin 11km. Maybe 70 highway and 30 city. You probably be able to get more. My Astra 1.6MTA is getting 0km. (cos it is still sitting in the showroom) When it gets out, I am expecting to get 13-14km based on internet research but it really depends how much i wanna use the MTA and eat up the space in front... Cbx750p 1st Gear July 21, 2006 Share July 21, 2006 Yo Yappiez, you are a lucky devil to get a brand new Astra ! What a wonderful feeling it would be to own one ! I think you would get pretty bad fuel economy for the first 1000km cause the pistons needs to seat in first ! After that, you will see the figures go up and up and the engine smoother and smoother until you slip onto the floor ! CBX
