Duragloss AquaWax Review

Received my Aquawax 10 days ago. Since my ride is in good condition and it has 3 layers

of Finish Kare 1000P. Therefore the only preparation is only wash with water (my ride

is almost dust free ).

 

The application is very easy, just spray on and then buff it off with MF. Panel by panel

as the instruction. The result look shiny but slickness is not as good as FK425 & or

FK-FX100. It feel slick right after applied but the feeling is lesser & lesser everyday.

 

Unfortunately, never face any heavy rain pour, can't really tell it's beading or sheeting

ability

 

Durability for me is not important, because I will apply any kind of products every week .

 

My conclusion for AquaWax :

 

1. Very easy to use

2. Since it's easy to use I will suggest to use it weekly after a good wash to keep your

ride clean and shine.

3. For me I still prefer to use FK-FX100 (Spray sealant)

 

Reason for using FX100:

 

1) More easy to get it directly from USA, while Aquawax can only get it from ebay and

the shipment charge is going to kill u.

 

2) FX100 can give u better feeling in slickness, and the shine for both are identical.

 

Since, I'm not using the whole line of Duragloss to prepare the paint work (ie PBA,105

or 111). So my result might differ from those who use the whole line.

 

Just my 2 cents.

I think the result may not differ much even if you use the full range of Dura products.

 

From what i read, Duragloss products work well with most of the other products. your 1000p is a very good base sealant already...

 

What did you put under 1000p? AIO???

i think for our climate here, very different... everything have to discount abit wan. don't think it can last as long as in the US...

 

For eg. Toughseal, in Europe, the warranty is 5 years. over here only 12-18mths. so that gives you a rough idea...

This aquawax characteristics seem similiar to OCW. The slickness disappears very fast.

I was actually refering to Marcos statement of the slickness getting lesser by the name. Which is the same characteristics as OCW.

 

Yes I have just tried it today afternoon and will continue to monitor the slickness daily. It smells a little like OCW leh..i hope its not related.
