Moonstar Neutral Newbie August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 (edited) Interior damn chio.....but at a price. Approximately 20k more than a Mit Lancer. Now why would anybody want to pay 20k + interests more ????? 70+k for a 1.6l car is way way over-price. Drink petrol like water too. In a traffic jam heaven Spore.....no matter how fast or powerfull yr car is.....all cars be it Getz, QQ, Lambo, whatever still goes from point A to Point B just as fast......no point spending more on a car. En0203 2nd Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 SHC has a poll for nowadays the hotest topic Civic FD: why do you buy Civic FD? here for non-civic owners, how.. backside ugly, interior over design so looks weird
Falc 3rd Gear August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 The 2L Si engine specs are competitive. Roughly same specs as the 2L JDM Accord and Integra. Comparing with other makes, horsepower is abit higher than most newer 2L from Toyota, Nissan & Mazda, though max torque tends to lose out slightly. But CIvic is light, so should give u better real life performance than other 2L category cars which are traditionally aimed at a higher class thus heavier. Cychiam Neutral Newbie August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 Are you referring to teh 1.5, 1.8 or 2.0 model? I find the looks really awful, esp the rear. Absolute disappointment. Avoid 1.6l - way underpowred in 2l body On the contrary, I feel that the rear looks good and the front looks bad.

Watwheels Supersonic August 30, 2006 Share August 30, 2006 SHC has a poll for nowadays the hotest topic Civic FD: why do you buy Civic FD? here for non-civic owners, how.. Actually I wanted to buy BMW 3 series but pocket not deep enough that's why ended up buying civic 1.8 vti-s. Ppl like to compare the power of today's civic with civic of the past. Yes I agree 10 year old civic has more power but it emits more CO2. Today Japan emission standards are much higher than 10 years ago. Engineers have to work hard to meet not just emission standards but also FC & reliability. Emission standards always get higher over the years. Not just Japan but Europe too (now EuroIV). To meet these standards of course performance will be compromised. I know all of us wants the best of both worlds as in affordable price and good performance. But where got such thing. This is where Honda Civic comes in. As for styling, HECK I did not style the car, some car designer did. I'm only driving it. Whether u think it's ugly or pretty it does not concern me, I like can already. I know ppl will say crap just to spike me. I wun drive this car forever. After paying up for the loan and car by then will be other attractive makes and models for me to choose again. It's just a car why can't u ppl get a move on. Quantum 5th Gear August 31, 2006 Author Share August 31, 2006 IMO, Hondas are over engineered and as such represent real value for money on top of driving pleasure. It is always referred to as the "BMW" of Jap cars. Of course it does not mean it is like a bimmer but the co shares the same philosophy- driver oriented. The new gen Hondas are well screwed together and drives/handles well, with adequate power to boot. A bread and butter car that has credentials. That's the beef! Cheers, If Honda referred to as the "BMW" of Jap cars WHich one is "Mercedes" of Jap cars? Mazda or Luxury
Tanjkp Clutched August 31, 2006 Share August 31, 2006 If Honda referred to as the "BMW" of Jap cars WHich one is "Mercedes" of Jap cars? Aiyah ! Needless to mention, the answer is clear cut ! - the best selling !
Geforce Neutral Newbie August 31, 2006 Share August 31, 2006 IMO, the best Civic so far should be the EK models from 1996-1999 in terms of look and performance.
Quantum 5th Gear August 31, 2006 Author Share August 31, 2006 the best selling one is not luxurious enough to rank "Mercedes" of Jap cars , it is able to rank "Mercedes" of Thai cars
Quantum 5th Gear August 31, 2006 Author Share August 31, 2006 EK is excellent, it has good power/weight ratio but nowadays the people body size become biger and biger , so the cars size also become biger and biger, but power and performance become lower and lower due ro fuel crisis and traffic jam
Weihui Clutched August 31, 2006 Share August 31, 2006 quite surprise , many people voted Honda Civic FD underpower, I don't understand, is there any other family car more powerful than civic FD in same range Mit Colt Plus Turbo
Tanjkp Clutched August 31, 2006 Share August 31, 2006 the best selling one is not luxurious enough to rank "Mercedes" of Jap cars , it is able to rank "Mercedes" of Thai cars If that's so, Honda and BMW are a lot different as well. ↡ Advertisement
