Shld be Thai. KM's accord is the one wif ugly rear lights.

It shld not be under powered(dohc vtec still owns), but don't put your $$ on it to be very fast either.

Yep, Civic Si of course have the best power to weight ratio, but its a civic afterall. If your friend is looking for something that's of 2L status, the civic is a obvious bad choice.

Regards the post above abt the Mazda 6, its resale value is quite well. I'm a mazda driver myself, I find most mazda cars do have gd quality and mine haven't give me any problem for 4years and going.

Yep. Legacy R is 4wd, FC isn't really tt perfect and is quite high. But handling shld be well too for a 4wd :D

My senior bought 1, haven't drove 1 yet, but he isn't quite happy with his ride and he kinda regret it as he feels that a JDM accord looks better. haha!

have you heard of the soon to be announced recall for all Mazda RX8 owners? All cars produced in 2004 to early 2006 may need to have their engines changed.

Changed? to what? What's wrong with it? [confused]

Mazda 6's resale value has never been good due to their lower OMV/PARF. Same as Subaru. I was quite surprised about the OMV value of subarus when i did some research.

However, cars no longer can talk about resale value liao. With all the low COE and high interest now, how to resale? Only can talk about scrap/export value. People who buy cars based on resale is quite a waste.

My take is, buy a car that you think you really like, it's reliable, cheap to run and can last you for years. Dun follow the crowd, follow your heart and do some homework.

thanks for your comprehensive comments [flowerface], i am biased on JDM Accord 2.0 too, but worry abt 2.0L engine whether is sufficient for 1.5ton body [confused], indeed Civic 2.0 Si is enterance level of this cat, but its power/weight ratio is the best [thumbsup]

btw, is KM accord JDM or thai?

KM got tomyam accord and city.

Yes, I agreed.

These days most ppl will only scrap/ export the car liao, not so much of selling it away. Thus, all the mod ( rims, ICE, spolier, body kit, exhaust, filter, grounding,...etc) may gone to waste and will not be appreciated though some still can re-cycle. [shakehead]

my friend has made his decision, you guss its what? Cefiro 230JM [sweatdrop] , the SE convinced him to top up few $k for quiet and power V6 engine, 10+km/l FC, screen navigation system, Intelligent key system, excellent interior/exterior...bla, bla[laugh]

Cefiro 230JM, right choice. What the SE said is true, quiet & power V6, 10+km/l, keyless, interior/exterior compared to others in the market, great value for money...

my friend wants to upgrade his existing ride(Hyundai Matrix 1.8) to 2.0L Japan Sedan, running 2k+ km/monthly, doesn't want Korean car again duo to FC [sweatdrop]

Overall Quality, engine, comfortable, FC, interior/exterior, price etc. IYO, which one is more valuable to buy [wave]

either the 2.0 honda accord or civic [thumbsup]

JDM Accord shares the exact same gear ratios and engine with the Civic 2.0.

Having pushed both cars to their limits on the same roads, my conclusion is :

JDM Accord has less body roll and a stiffer(less plush) ride, but feels more stable at high speeds compared to the Civic. Its 200kg extra weight helps alot.

JDM Accord is slower to respond to steering inputs.

JDM Accord is more sluggish from standstill due to extra weight.

Civic is the more "fun" car to drive - due to paddle shifts and a certain agility due to lighter weight. Also has VSA and cruise control.

Also . . .

JDM Accord has less rear leg room than Civic.

JDM Accord has a cd of just 0.26. This is unrivalled in its class.

JDM Accord has a better balance of class, exclusivity and sporting aggression than the Civic.

Both are great value for money.

...mazda 6...why? cos I am driving one [;)] ...make in japan, twin exhaust, cruise control, steering wheel control, nice interior, responsive driving, and cheapest among the lot...
