Knighthunter 4th Gear September 4, 2006 Share September 4, 2006 Honda has a good engine, but Mazda gives better handling as overall package. I tested Mazda 6SP, Thai Accord, Civic Si, Renault Megane Hatch, and Ceffiro. At the end I settled for Mazda 6SP never regretted at all, fuel consumption about 9-10 kpl no complaint since it's a 2 liter car. Tested also Mazda 6 MPS, it handle very good with smooth power delivery, too bad it's waaaaaaaaayyyyyy beyond my budget. Previous car I owned before Mazda 6 are Corrolla 3G, EK3, Oddysey, City i-DSI. Ferrari7 Neutral Newbie September 4, 2006 Share September 4, 2006 JDM Accord, Mazda 6 Actually both are a really close fight. M6 is better equipped. JDM Accord has a better drivetrain. Has anyone driven both? How does the Mz6 handle? I suppose there's less initial body roll than the Accord? Hmmm. . .

Zyrofillica 1st Gear September 5, 2006 Share September 5, 2006 JDM Accord shares the exact same gear ratios and engine with the Civic 2.0. Having pushed both cars to their limits on the same roads, my conclusion is : JDM Accord has less body roll and a stiffer(less plush) ride, but feels more stable at high speeds compared to the Civic. Its 200kg extra weight helps alot. JDM Accord is slower to respond to steering inputs. JDM Accord is more sluggish from standstill due to extra weight. Civic is the more "fun" car to drive - due to paddle shifts and a certain agility due to lighter weight. Also has VSA and cruise control. Also . . . JDM Accord has less rear leg room than Civic. JDM Accord has a cd of just 0.26. This is unrivalled in its class. JDM Accord has a better balance of class, exclusivity and sporting aggression than the Civic. Both are great value for money. erm. official galant CD is 0.25 (VR4 kit) and that car is a 9 yr old design!

Falc 3rd Gear September 5, 2006 Share September 5, 2006 (edited) Serious 0.25 is amazing. Could be a world record 9 years ago! Any web link to verify this? Coz my search so far churns out only the normal VR @ 0.29 leh. http://www.internetautoguide.com/car-speci...lant/index.html http://www.internetautoguide.com/car-speci...lant/index.html Edited September 5, 2006 by Falc
