Familymanz 3rd Gear October 1, 2006 Share October 1, 2006 ah boy.... we paid extra for cvt for the smooth transmission, not for it to be 1st off the line @ traffic light.... if u want to chiong off the line.... u should get a manual trans, or a 4A/T (which give u the jerking feeling when up gear) fc = 11.... simi traffic condition?? or u ppl stomp the accelerator like it owe u something izzit??? For a smoother transmission. keke, if we really wana chiong driving CVT, we can forget about it Worst FC I've hitted is around 11km/l based on 80% city n 20% highway condition. PRESS I ALSO WONT MOVE!!! :( actually there is tactics to make it pick up faster... try release the brake when the traffic light is able to turn green... then step on the accelerator gently and increase the pressure... the car will accelerate quite fast... Flameblade 1st Gear October 1, 2006 Share October 1, 2006 anyway on the roads, u *normally* tend to see more latio sports(CVT) accelerating faster/ driving very fast. dunnoe is it because they though they are driving a "sport" car (latio SPORT mah )or if it is because of the CVT. driving without the aircon, theres really alot of different. no lag at all and instantous acceleration. driving with the aircon on u will find that at 0-30km/h very sluggish and slow, but after 30km/h it have no problem catching up with other cars. the cvt really is so smooth until u think that the car is taking its own sweet time to accelerate. first time my mom went to test drive. she complain that the car no power and accelerate very slowy, until the SE pointed out to her that she is already drving quite fast (speeding at about 100km/h on a small road) !
