The FC is high coz your right leg is heavy. nothing to do with the running in.

 

Conti cars are so called "run-in" before delivery. Moreover, you think running in will up your FC by 1 to 2 km/L.

 

Actually even if you change 18inch, the visual changes is not a lot since your tyres get thinner.

 

May I know the profile of your tyres?

 

As for quality rims, autobacs cannot make it. try Stamford or YHI since they are the distributor. if not, you can go to those "smaller" workshops. their price might be cheaper and rims are from the same source.

 

and white har? you do realised that the Astra have more brake dust.. I'm already tired of cleaning my polished rim. if yours is white...

Luckily my above 18" wheels cleaning not so bad but every weekends I made the effort to clean them using

"Mr Muscle" spray cleaner and they look clean & shinny, just like new, very effective

 

 

And you can get them easily from any leading dept stores

yours is spray black, so you can use strong chemical like Mr Muscle to wash it.

 

I would try it on polished rim, at least not for mine yet.

 

and yes, conti cars no run in. You do realised that engine oil change is at 10k and not at 1k like those japz?

My stock 15" tires were 195/65/15 so if up 3 sizes, the correct profile must be .....

225/40/18 only 0.4% differential

 

Tires I chose Firenza ST-03 bcos they're 4-in-1 High Performance, Grip Power, Quiet and Comfort

Bought 4 pcs from Stamford Tyres total $972.00 after discount using 'in-tune' member card

 

Earlier I was a Falken fans but after tried Firenza I'm real convinced

didn't really keep a look out coz I'm quite ok with the current suspension setup.

 

The steinmetz lowering spring is the better one beside Konni or eibach. as for coilover, since it's a german car, got to go germany liao.. japz one is not really suitable.

I dont realy keen on changing lowering springs as in future sooner or later need to change the shock absorbers so why dont change to Coilover once & for all.
