Speakers Recommendation!!!!

sorry, juz to borrow ur topic, since I cant post a new topic b/c of inadequate posting, i would like to know beside these speakers, can anyone recommend me a setup(amp/tweeters/speakers/HU) which offers sound clarity at a budget of abt 1.5k? Is it better to shop individually for the items or do the entire setup package at a particular audio shop?

I recommend Mr Adbullah Tarmugi. He's a pretty good speaker. In fact, he's the Speaker for Parliament.

Under $200k shouldn't be a problem.

I am thinking of changing the speaker too. My speakers are inside the 4 doors and i am wondering if there are specker size restriction for different car model. I just worry that if I buy a speaker over the net that does not fit.

definitely must check out the sizing. of cos if u go to a shop they're responsible for mounting, so u can dun bother so much.

 

cos some cars, if the speaker too DEEP (from the outside cone area, to the rear end magnet) it might hit the area where the window winds down.

 

if u make it protrude too much to avoid hitting window, u hit the door plastic sometimes.

 

if the magnet too big or some parts of the frame too big, may not be able to enter the metal hole in the door to mount.

 

if the overall diameter too big, either cannot enter metal hole, or it's too big for the screw positions and may have to modify large ring to screw down.

 

the shop should do all these checks for you.

dun so sad leh. good luck finding correct size. but remember, the door panel isn't doing the sound much good. a covering such as a door panel actually acts as a low-pass filter. it reduces higher frequencies from coming out. the lower ones come out easier. so things sound "muffled", depending on how "airy" (how big the holes) your door grill is ...

 

people use such "obstructions" when they design stuff like subwoofer boxes, so that the higher frequencies are reduced deliberately to give a good sub effect.

 

but only cut if you feel comfortable. if u have a way of doing it that is still pleasing in case u dun intend to use the car to the end of its lifetime. i dont know about your model but for mine, each plastic panel costs somewhat more than S$160 ... almost $200.

isnt the mid bass speakers producing much lower frequencies? is higher frequencies a concern then?

 

not sure how much mine cost. maybe cheaper since only made of cheap looking plastics

many midbasses in 2-way systems are set to produce until more than 1.5khz - to 3khz or even more, to 4 khz.

 

that covers almost all the instruments. and the higher sounds beyond that are more of the harmonics - those extra sounds that come along with the instruments, such as the big double bass finger sliding/plucking sounds, the piano knocking sounds, the "brightness" sounds, the "s" sounds, the breath sounds etc.

 

so actually this midbass thing quite important, yes?

 

since u're playing active, u should try turning off your tweeter like we did that day, and just listen to the midbass, see how much it plays.

hi, i juz install a rainbow (csx)-$330 rainbow 2-way(ks 130) for - $160 Got kana carrot?.But it indeed make a diff for my lancer. i planning go for an amp. any recommendation?
