Just like what they did to Vios and Altis, they announced that it is assembled in Thailand initially too.

Bro, G9 corolla = Corolla Altis. It is from the same chassis. Corolla Altis was launched slightly after G9 corolla Japan. It is sold in USA, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia & Taiwan. So, Corolla Altis is NOT G10 corolla.

 

Please get this fact correctly.

 

On the other hand, tis is 4 bros who is biased against Tom-yota. Corolla Altis sold in USA is made in Thailand.

Bro, there is no G10 corolla for this region yet. The reason ppl think that Corolla Altis is G10 Corolla as it was launched here after G9 from Japan. The model we are getting is facelift corolla altis. It was facelift at the same time as G9 from Japan. However, G9 from Japan does not get LED backlite as Corolla Altis.

 

Based on the launch date of Camry, i m predicting that G10 Corolla for this region will b launch somewhere 6 mths from now. The difference would be the look (both inside & outside) and there will not be any CVT.

 

Hope i don't get u confused.

So I suppose the Corolla Axio is the G10? It was mentioned in the website that it is a complete redesigned corolla.

Corolla Axio = G10 Corolla

 

Corolla Altis = G9 Corolla

 

Offspring of G9 Corolla included Corolla fielder, runx, allex & altis. Fielder is a wagon whereby runx & allex is hatchback. For runx, there is 1.8l 2ZZ-GE dual VVTL-i (from Toyota Celica).
