Defelio Neutral Newbie November 26, 2006 Share November 26, 2006 Wanna try to DIY? If so can get the material (Cable Hunter) cost is only $26 per piece and is good enough for single layer 1 door 100% coverage. Just got some Cable Hunter from this guy Jason last night. You can either call him 93384875or email him @ [email protected] Found this at FJ Club. 1 piece just nice my door. From your pics seems like the second layer liaoz . Yesterday night try doing up 1 door 1st. Later carry on. also most probably adding those foam sheets in between the door's plastic cover and metal door. Kb27 Supersonic November 26, 2006 Share November 26, 2006 Raammat is butyl rubber ( http://www.raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?p=pr ), almost same as Dynamat Extreme, but half the price. Check this out: http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/heat/ You might change your mind about some product.

Ultramega 1st Gear November 27, 2006 Author Share November 27, 2006 hey thanks for the links. i noticed the author kind of likes CAE products and he even used one of CAE's materials as comparasion even though he did not test it. Raammat looks good. now let's see where i can find it... searched this forum, didn't find any clues.... seems like not popular in SG. anybody knows where can find Raammat? Kiss29 Neutral Newbie November 28, 2006 Share November 28, 2006 Search the singapore ebay....the authorised raammat agent is there! very cheap 62ft only S$260.
Hyun Neutral Newbie November 28, 2006 Share November 28, 2006 > Later carry on. also most probably adding those foam sheets in between the door's plastic cover and metal door. you managed to find any cheap foam sheets?
Ehonda Neutral Newbie November 28, 2006 Share November 28, 2006 You can contact Mike, 93862658 or [email protected]Raammat comes in 62.5 sq ft, cost about $2xx per roll. I also DIY complete car, add Armaflex on top of Raammat. Result is quite impressive. 62.5 sq feet like a bit too much for me ... wonder he sell half roll? Kb27 Supersonic November 28, 2006 Share November 28, 2006 I've already mentioned above, here it is again: You can contact Mike, 93862658 or [email protected] Raammat comes in 62.5 sq ft, cost about $2xx per roll. If you use the whole roll, it will add about 10kg to your ride, weigh much less than Dynamat Extreme. 3/4 roll is enough for my small hatch. Butyl material is still the way to go as more manufacturers are offering that.
Kb27 Supersonic November 28, 2006 Share November 28, 2006 No, I don't think so. It is very troublesome to unroll 50 ft, measure 25 ft, cut and roll it up again, and he might have problem selling the other half. Buyer will question, is it of correct length. His shipment is 2 rolls in a cardboard box. Each roll is sealed in a plastic bag, so he's most likely selling by roll. Find a buddy who is doing SP and share. I used about 3/4 roll so far for one car.

Kb27 Supersonic November 29, 2006 Share November 29, 2006 (edited) My ride is a 3dr hatch. I start with the front doors, the front wheel arch (after removing tyre), then the back floorpan, front floorpan, back wheel arch, hatch door and finally the bonnet. Took me a few weeks to do it slowly. Practically every piece of big metal sheet that you can see from the outside of the car had a layer of insulation directly beneath it, except the roof. Hyun Neutral Newbie November 29, 2006 Share November 29, 2006 according to the post, it's S$7.60 per sheet of 10mm thick. except do they have 10mm? or maybe they call that 3/8th inch? i think i also kenna their inconsistent-pricing con. i believe i ended up with 1/4 inch sheet and probably paid more than $7.60 ... Ultramega 1st Gear November 29, 2006 Author Share November 29, 2006 10mm sounds very think to me. as think as some yoga mats. where you intend to SP with that? ↡ Advertisement
