I'm experiencing hazing problem with my detailing and really could need some help to resolve it.

here is my sequence.

1. Wash

2. Clay

3. DA with orange light cutting pad with Optimum polish at speed 4-5

4. Da with blue finishing pad with OP at speed 4.

Only experiencing hazing on my bonnet. The rest of the car seems fine though.

I understand hazing occurs with DA too fast, too much polish, polish not broken down yet.

So I tried to polish again, this time much slower and definitely the polish has broken down but it still looks hazy... any gurus can advise what I'm doing wrong and what can be done?

I wonder if my clearcut has been "killed" already... [rifle] but I'm only using a DA.not a rotary... really need guru to level up my skill...hehe thanks in advance.

Last time another bro used a PC + OP at speed 6 on his ride. We experienced difficulty in buffing off the haze due to the afternoon sun, its got to do with the temperature [sweatdrop]

How about try misting your pad with 1 or 2 squirt of QD?

Don't think your clearcoat is gone, OP still 1 level down from Optimum hyper compound which I used to reduce some of my watermarks previously, good luck! [:)]

i did misting QD on the pads and confirmed the bonnet was not hot before i started work.

hm....maybe i'll try less speed and more QD next time...very sian to see the rest of the car gilat and only the bonnet macham like matte ..

yup, I guess so. I've haven't used my Optimum compound and Hyper compound yet...hopefully, won't get to use it. haha

anyway, how did the bro remove the hazing then? misting wih QD only? I'm wondering if the speed got anything to do with it...

Hey bro Ekae05, what did you do after your step 4 ? Did you just stop there or did you apply some wax or sealant over it ?

1) How much polish did you use?

2) Was the pad dirty and caked with product?

3) Was the bonnet the last panel to be polished?

4) How was the weather like when you polished?

5) How big an area did you work with? Meaning did you split your bonnet into 4 or 6 parts?

Thanks [:)]

In that case, you might be dealing with a pretty soft paint work. Try going over with OP and the green polishing pad at speed 5 for a few passes, but do not exert too much pressure. This should clear up the hazing effect.

1) How much polish did you use?

Just one circle around the pad.

2) Was the pad dirty and caked with product?

don't think so. looks ok to me.

3) Was the bonnet the last panel to be polished?

Yup, last panel.

4) How was the weather like when you polished?

Cool and shady.

5) How big an area did you work with? Meaning did you split your bonnet into 4 or 6

parts?

Spilt my bonnet into 2 parts. my bonnet not too big to begin with. hahaha

The bro used a MF bonnet and DA to buff away but with some difficulty.

Yeah hyper compound was able to diminish watermarks about 2 years old.. haa [sweatdrop]

Good luck

Green pad should be less cutting depanding, try working with 4 peanut size of OP on the pad and work on a 2'x2' area @ speed 4-5 with light pressure, I think you should be able to get the problem solved.

Hi Bro EKAE05

Can I know what product/products did you use before this DIY?

Thanks
