I just bought a GPS 10x. Unfortunately I don't have a cigarette lighter socket. Do you know how I can install one??? or is there a way that i can charge the GPS receiver at home without using the power outlet of a car??

anyone has any idea why does my nuvi 310 takes super long to log on. i can start the thing and after awhile it will ask today's date, have u travelled hundreds or miles/km, are u indoors?.... and 5mins later den it logs on.

 

but if within an hr i switch on again no prob leh. it usually happenes after over night parking.

Its always like tat if u ON inside mscp or basement. The best way is to ON it at outdoor area.

Maybe ur surrounding outdoor is full of buildings and trees,i dont get this message crap when outdoor.

And Garmin need few minutes to track satelite when starting cold

hmm maybe. but i start drive off, 5mins den start tracking. damn long i feel. sometime u start alr jus wanna key in the location and drive off den cant.

 

btw i side track abit. the malsingmaps downloads are locked. wat if. WAT IF ppl share login id and password, all can tap upon 1 contributors and start downloading right?

The unlock code is unique to the GPS. Let face it, w/o active contributions, would malsingmaps be so updated w lots of POIs? I support the action. Just min 2 POIs for an unlock code, that's not difficult. Else, the free Jun version is already very updated.

using garmin maps for past 1 months..and at times..cant seem to find the location ...or in some cases...

the desired location and the shown location is on two diff ends of the street ...

 

but sidetrack a little..can GPS differeniate the diff between heights.....

coz to me it cant..so it is juz me ..or is it that GPS works this way
