Hi

I understand some of us are affected by the low COE very much because of the low rebate level given by some car dealers i.e. subaru and nissan buyers. Just want to check if there are enuff support so that we can bring this up to LTA or TC / MI accordingly.

I believe that LTA does not govern dealers COE rebates level. It's a business transaction.

& in that transaction, the dealers have protected themselves with a contract with you that you have signed.

Not much you can do there, legally we all agreed to be at a disadvantage. Singapore - the fleece the consumers country.

While I emphatize with your situation, there is little you can do. You can however, highlight this to the newspaper, hoping that it will create a concern and regulations will come to govern COE rebate level or make it as such that COE cannot be bidded for you by the dealers. The dealers can only sell cars w/o COE.

If that's not your cup of tea, you can try to get your SE to give you more freebies but it will never be the same as the difference in $$. Not sure if the extra dealers earn from this is translated to SE commisssion. If not your SE also LL.

PS your rebate level is stated very clearly in your contract.

Necessary?

Everytime COE crash, there will be buyer dissatifaction, including myself. Was $12,600 when booked but got COE at $9,600.

You signed the paper knowing your rebate value than, why complain now?

ASk for some freebies, if they give you are lucky.

Learn to accept and let go.
